My name is Castielle.

I was born in ancient Sumeria, before the world was as it was now. I have lived my life to the fullest, to it's greatest extent. I have seen the world beheld it's wonders. I have met the worlds greatest leaders and minds. I have made several fledglings, most who are now gone dead or simply on the other side of the world.

If you were to ask, if I enjoy being a vampire, with all it's power and strengths, the answer would be no. I do not. No one ever tells you when the offer you the gift, or force it upon you that being a vampire isn't all at is cracked up to be. They never tell you, how over time, how you become hollow, that when you tame the beast inside of you, your left with nothing. The simple things you once enjoyed no longer exists. You feel nothing. Perhaps I shouldn't speak so harshly of things, I had a life, however short with many lovers, my recent, Duncan, passed away last winter. Soon your heart becomes hardened, and even as a vampire, you fear a broken heart. With each death of a loved one, I fear I am becoming nothing more than a walking shell.

Evelyn, my fledging, one of few who still lives, asked me to teach at Aeternitas University. At first I was hesitant, it has been a long time since I have been around a large group of people. I enjoy in solitude, my little cottage that Duncan and I once owned, I enjoy silence, but it is time for me to move on. It is time for me to once again step forward and become the woman I once was.
