| Niki was still adapting to life in this day and age, it was weird seeing people walk around with phones and clothes that showed off everything. She was also still adjust to the way that people talked. It seemed the only thing that she didn't have to adjust to was her music, which was nice because she could find comfort in it whenever she was feeling down. She had spent the majority of her day in her room, just sort of starring at the walls. Television wasn't something she was used to walking and reading was something she couldn't do so now she felt like it was time to just get out and see what this place had to offer. She carried her violin with her, because it was like a safety blanket. When she got outside she couldn't help but to help but to smile as she saw the snow falling. It was magical in every aspect of the word, she loved it. Watching it fall made Niki feel inspired so she brought her violin up to her chin and smiled as she raised her bow. A soft melody came from the violin as she closed her eyes and just felt better playing the music even if it was a crowd of just herself. | |

| While many were out skiing, lollygagging, or merry making, Xavier was walking around trying to gather his barings once again. Three hundred years asleep only to be reawakened in such a strange time tended to make him a little...antsy. That...annoying fae Khalid had offered him clothing, after the witch had more or less threatened him to death. Of all the absurd things he had seen in his life, becoming the familiar to yet another witch was the top of the bill.
Pulling at the collar of the strange shirt he made his way though the ankle deep snow. His warm skin causing the white blanket to melt around him leaving small puddles of footprints. The women dressed so strangly now, and acted like complete trollops. The men were no better, they're way of speaking and acting was uncooth. There had to be some sence of normalicy left in this world. Somewhere...anywhere. He was half tempted to simply shift and find a nice cave to rest in. Being around that...Tristian woman made his skin crawl. He didn't trust witches, expecially ones that reeked of old magic.
As he walked away from the loud and large building he had learned was a resort of some kind a fail music rang in his ears. Stopping in his tracks he turned around several times trying to find where the sound was the strongest. There was a tingling somewhere in his body, like...part of him was calling out. Quickening his pace he pushed pass the dead limbs of the old tree's until finally, he came across a woman in a red cloak. Now that was something he was more use to seeing. Tilting his head slightly he easily jumped into the tree above him and looked down at her as she played the violin.
Something about her drew him in. Was it the music? Perhaps it was how she was dressed. Whatever the case, he was entranced. Once her song was over he cleared his throat and looked down at her curiously. "What are you?" he asked tapping his fingers on his bare arms. The snow didn't chill him, very few things did. If anything it was welcomed. "Do I know you from somewhere?"

| Niki's arm and fingers moved with grace as she played the violin that she had in her hands. She had her eyes closed as she listened to the melody coming off of her strings, there was something so uplifting about playing that she often got carried away. She had been so carried away by the melody that she had started to dance where she was standing, nothing big just soft sways as she played.
She hadn't even noticed that anyone was around until she stopped playing and she heard a voice.
The witch jumped at the sound of someone speaking to her, nearly dropping her violin and bow. She had a hand over her heart as it raced in her chest. "You scared me." She spoke out as she looked around for the source of the voice and eventually looked up and saw a man in the tree.
"Me?" She asked as she pointed to herself "I'm a girl." She replied but as she looked at him, she couldn't help but to feel like she knew him, but didn't know why.
"I can't say that I know you. Are you looking for someone in particular?" She asked as she looked around to see if maybe there was someone else around that he could be talking about.

| To say the scene wasn't beautiful would be a lie. Very few things caught the older fae's attention but he had always had a soft spot for music and pretty faces that went along with it. But her song sounded so familiar, and it pulled him towards her. He continued to stare at her as if contemplating on whether to ignore her or continue his prodding for information. "You should be more observant of your surroundings." the handsome phoenix said in his smooth accent. Leaning forward he placed his chin on his balled fist and tilted his head curiously.
At her answer he grunted, a small cloud of white mist coming from his nose as he did so. "What a stupid answer." he said with a bored tone rolling off the tree limb and landed gently on the ground below him, the snow instantly melted away around his feet. Of course she was a girl, that much was noticeable just by looking at her, but there was more. A riddle underneath it all. Carefully he walked towards her his eyes narrowing slightly, "I am aware of your sex, I am more curious as to the nature of your being." he gently tapped his chin and walked around her leaving a small circle of melted snow in his wake.
"You're not human, at least, not entirely." he said mostly to himself than to the girl in front of him. "Do you have a name? Or shall I just assume you'll reply with another stupid answer."

| Nikita's smile faded as the man spoke so... so degrading towards her. She didn't know what he had meant by the question, so how was she supposed to know what sort of answer to give him. "Well then you should have been more specific." She replied in a kind manner, she wasn't going to be rude in return.
"If you must know, I'm a witch, but not entirely." She spoke, leaving out the fae part because the coven had told her that was vitally important to never tell anyone. Fae's didn't die, and while there was spells that allowed Witches to live long lives, it was never guaranteed to work. That and they told Niki that if she told anyone that they would likely try to kill her to get the essence out of her.
She took a step back away from him as she saw the snow around him melt, because she didn't know what it meant, she was still adapting to this new yet strange world.
"My name is Niki, and you don't have to be so rude." She replied still being kind. She wasn't really appreciating the fact that he was being mean, but didn't really have much of a back bone to really stand up to him.
