Nightly dose of fun

Davika was hungry and there was no better place to go to get a quick meal then Dayglow. It was the one place were she could get a meal and have fun all at once. She blamed her hunger on the fact that she had no clients during the day, and the night before she had been too busy to try and steal a meal. That being said, Davika was not in the best of moods but she still kept that seductive smirk upon her lips to try and lure someone in as she walked into the glowing club.

Some may think that it was cool to see a woman walk in with blonde hair and white wings attached to her back, but that was anything but true. This meant that she needed to eat, but it was the one look that she had that seemed to just attract people to her. There was that whole angel quality in it, and when people were strong out on drugs, like most people here tended to be it was like a fantasy come true.

She stopped just shy of the dance floor as her eyes scanned the room. Devika was looking for something that wasn't human, someone that could handle a little lost blood without the threat of ending up in the hospital for a transfusion. Her pale blue eyes looked over almost every inch of the dance floor before she decided she would have to look elsewhere. Way to many strung out individual's for her liking so it was off to the bar, a nice drunk would do the trick.

Walking over to the bar she forced her wings to disappear so that they stopped taking up room and that cost her more energy then she would have liked. Sitting down at a bar stool she held the side of her head for a moment, damn vampires had it easy with their glamour and their fangs she had to fight for her meals.

Dropping her arms, she let them fold on the bar as she sat up more properly as it got more attention. She then motioned for the bartender to come over and took in a breath, and licked her lips before she gave a smile "Bloody Mary." She spoke in a calm manner, while her eyes focused on the pulsing vein in his neck.

It was rare for Nowe not to be somewhere Evelyn wasn't. It was rarer still to find him in one of the noisy clubs where there was too much noise and too many people. But every once in a blue moon, he went out to immerse himself in the 'culture' of the modern day youths and, on occasion, seek out someone who would be a willing blood donor. Tonight was one such night. Bored with the relative quiet of the school and confident Evelyn was in no danger for the evening, he had ventured out and found himself settled in a corner of Dayglow with a drink he was only pretending to indulge in.

He'd been there for maybe an hour when someone that caught his attention came into the club. There was a sense of familiarity about her but he couldn't quite place her. More than likely, the winged, blonde haired beauty was just some citizen he'd come across in his long years at the University. His blue eyes followed her as she settled at the bar and made her wings disappear. He made a quiet sound of disbelief at her disregard for secrecy but curiosity made him keep watching her as she ordered a drink. Deciding she was interesting enough to get to know better, he took his drink and headed up to the bar to settle next to her. To the casual observer, he was no different than the human teens that were pressed together on the dance floor. But a closer look would betray him as someone far older than he appeared to be. He flashed her a quick smile, enough to reveal vampire fangs, and studied her face a moment. "I know that look." He told her, his face betraying nothing to her as of yet. As interesting as she seemed to be, she was still an unknown entity and he would tread carefully for the time being.

Alcohol wouldn't cure her hunger but it would at least make postpone her urge to jump on someone and cut someone's throat open. She probably would have done that already if she had a knife with her which she had left at home because as hungry as she was she didn't want to kill anyone. As she got her drink she gave a smiled and used the stalk of celery to stir the drink before picking up the glass and taking a sip of the mixed beverage. It always made her a little sad that the drink didn't have any actual blood in there but whatever not everyone actually drank the stuff

As she was setting down her glass she noticed the man who sat down next to her and spoke. Turning her head to the side she ran her tongue over her lips again, cleaning off the alcohol that was left behind. "Really now?" She spoke as she shifted slightly on the stool and looked over the man. She already took notice of the fangs, and wanted to snarl but she kept her composer no need to hate the fang barring fellow just because she was hungry.

"And what exactly is my look telling you?" She asked with a huh kind of tone as she brought the glass back up to her lips and took another sip. She had to wonder if it was telling him, how much she wanted to take those fangs of him and puncture someone, anyone, hell she she would settle for his skin as well. Still she managed to keep her composer as she turned and leaned against the bar slightly.

Nowe was never one to give away his secrets so easily and he merely gave the girl a knowing look when she questioned him. "Yes really. I am very good at noticing things others might not." It was his job to notice things and he was very, very good at his job. He noted the brief flicker of some desire or other, something that suggested she wasn't entirely pleased to be approached by a vampire (or maybe it was just him, he really couldn't be sure) but she held whatever it was back and he was silently impressed by her willpower.

"Oh this and that." He gave her a vague wave of his hand and twirled the glass with his untouched drink as he gave her a sly smirk. "You were watching his neck rather than his face. What is it you were seeing there? Certainly not anything someone without certain...tastes would be seeing." He was being deliberately vague, partly to see if she would actually answer him or not. "I will admit he is a very tempting target but he is also human. Not as much fun to toy with." He added, considering the bartender who gave him an odd look and moved farther down the bar. He gave a light chuckle and turned back to his conversation partner. "Where are my manners? My name is Nowe. Might I have the pleasure of knowing yours?" He questioned, holding out his hand for her to shake if she wanted.

Don't get Devika wrong, she didn't have an issue with vampires... normally but when she was hungry it was a completely different story. She had to work for her food, and didn't have the ability to make the whole incident go away in a glamour she simply have to flee the scene when she was done. Of course she had good clients and some didn't mind her rather... odd obsession with blood because they were getting what they paid for and she usually cut the price for those she fed from. Nothing like a discount to get people all excited these day.

"Really." She spoke slightly intrigued but she really wasn't, but then again Devika wasn't really the sort who had to keep conversation up for long. It was more of a mindless thing that was done before she got down to business. "Well, it could just be that I have a fetish." she spoke in a matter of fact kind of tone, because lets face it Devika couldn't drink from like the vampire's could, she would end up killing a person.

Her hands folded lightly over the edge of the bar as he went on to explain that the bartender was human, and that was something that Devika was more then aware of. "I like playing with human's they pay rather well to be seen with the likes of me." She gave a smug smile, it was true though. Men of low status paid good money just to be seen walking next to her, let alone having sex with her. Though every now and then she liked to get a little frisky with the sups because they could handle a bit more.

Looking at the hand that was held out to her she tried to decide if she should shake his hand or not. She instead avoided the casual introduction and just simply smiled. "Names Devika, and unless you want to pay for me to touch you, you can put your hand away." She decided not to hit the vampire with a surprised fee, because well she was hungry and trying to get away from him would take more energy then she had right now. "But, if you would like to be touched that could be arranged." She pulled the celery stock from her drink and placed it in her mouth, cleaning off the alcohol before taking a bite out of it. My how she wished this was enough to satisfy her hunger but it wasn't.

Nowe raised his glass to her in a salute of sorts. "This is true. It could just be a fetish. But then, I never said it couldn't be did I?" He questioned with a smirk, raising the glass to his lips and pretending to drink as she continued to speak. So she was some manner of escort? Or possibly a prostitute of some manner even. At any rate, she was someone people paid money to be with. It was not something Nowe encountered very often because he didn't go looking for those types of people, many of whom he was sure were strung out on drugs or whatever and that made their blood taste bad. He set his drink down but chose not to comment on what she'd said and instead waited for her to shake his hand....which she didn't do.

He lowered his hand as she'd suggested but gave her a curious, thoughtful look in return. "Let us pretend I have agreed to pay you. I would hope you wouldn't charge too much for a simple handshake. Or would I be paying for more than that?" He paused a moment to consider whether or not he actually wanted to pay her for anything and mentally shrugged. Why not? It wasn't often he got to get away from his duties as Evelyn's guard and she was both interesting and beautiful. He watched her bite into the celery stick and felt the smallest prickle of jealousy. It was difficult for a vampire to fit in when they could neither eat nor drink, though he did an alright job of pretending to drink whatever he'd bought when he got there and discreetly pouring it out to make it actually look like he was drinking it.

Devika rolled her eyes at the lad as he made his comment, she hated when people just sort of beat around the bush for their own amusement. Then again it was likely the fact that she was simply hungry and he was holding up her ability to find a tasty meal with his mindless banter. Still, there was the possibility that he could become her meal... for a price. Yes, something Devika was that petty that she would make people pay for her to feed from them.

"Well. see handshakes are just like any other sort of physical contact, but know a handshake doesn't cost much, but then again hand shakes are typically the sign of a deal being made so the price really all depends on you." she spoke after swallowing the bit of celery stalk in her mouth. Eating that only proved to make her more hungry but that issue could get solved soon... maybe... well one way of the other it was getting solved.

"My usual rate is one thousand an hour, but for those that don't mind a little more fun I am willing to cut my fee in half." She was well paid, and there was some people that paid her more, but she had worked her way up the ladder in the escort world and she was sort of prime real estate if you will. Sure, the price was a little steep but he was a vampire and they always seemed to have money laying around. "I take half the money up front and then the time is your's to do what you please." She shrugged like it was just like any other business deal.

Nowe considered her proposition a moment. Was he really willing to pay to spend time with this woman? He did generally prefer men but that didn't mean he didn't enjoy the company of women from time to time. When she named her price he gave her a raised eyebrow look. "One thousand an hour? You must be good." Good at what, he wasn't going to say. And he was sure there were people out there that would pay more just to be with an 'angel'. But it was the option of cutting the fee in half for more 'fun' that had him interested. What sort of fun did she have in mind that she would charge less instead of more? Curious indeed.

"I have to admit you have me interested." He swirled the drink in his glass thoughtfully. He didn't have the money on him but it wouldn't be difficult to get. And then he would have at least an hour to discover just what this stranger had to offer. Overall, it was a rather appealing prospect. "You, my lady, have yourself a deal. Your offer of more fun is a little too appealing to someone who doesn't get out much thanks to a rather demanding job." He offered her another smile, carefully keeping his fangs from view and held out his hand again.

Devika gave a smirk as she looked at the man when he said that she must be good. She had several.... thousand years of experience under her belt so to say she was good was a bit of an understatement. "Well, when someone has the right to do whatever they please, a girl has to charge more." She spoke as she picked up her glass and took another sip of the beverage she had purchased. Truth of the matter was that Devika knew exactly what type of people lurked in the shadows and several times in her past she came close to facing her true death, but she had learned to perfect being dead.

Much like other clients, Nowe here fell for her fun line just like everyone else did. It was like a tool that made people want to see what it was that was so fun, but none of them bothered to ask who the fun was for. Naturally given her position, people thought that the fun would be more for them and at half the price, when common sense should have told them other wise. Still, it just meant that she would indeed have a meal shortly, but that would have to wait until the end of things. "Well then, 500 it is, but I have been in this game for far to long to make deals without seeing some cash up front. So, as soon as you have the money then come back and I will be more then happy to shake that eager little hand of your's." She spoke with a smile as she leaned against the bar.

If Devika had learned anything it was never make a deal without the money present, to many times she had been scammed and that wasn't something she took lightly. As a matter of fact there was a number of dead bodies in her past to prove other wise. All she claimed were 'self defense' but really it was a man who either refused to pay or had no intentions of paying to being with. "And don't worry, I am not going anywhere." She reassured him, because if he didn't come back she still needed to find a victim and she didn't feel like going some place else.

Nowe merely gave a noncommittal shrug at her explanation. Being a poor judge of age he had no idea just how much experience Devika had with such thing, though he was fully aware that she, like him, was far older than she seemed. And, if he had to guess, he'd say she was older than he was. Most Fae were. His comment was more a reaction from having watched others make similar deals. It just seemed like the thing to say so he said it. As for her line about fun, he had his suspicions but fun for her could also be fun for him so it didn't seem all that important. And it wasn't like he thought she was going to try and kill him. If she did, he was capable of defending himself. Maybe he was over-confident, but he was still alive and plenty of people who had tried to kill him before...were not. It was easy to be over-confident sometimes.

He was unsurprised when she refused his handshake a second time, this time because she didn't have the money. "Fair enough. I wouldn't agree to a deal without seeing payment up front either." Not that he'd had any deal like that to make in a very long time but still, it was just something you did when you were exchanging large sums of money for various services. "And if you did leave what harm would that cause me? I haven't given you anything yet, if you were to leave I would not lose out on anything more than an interesting evening with a lovely woman." He pushed his drink away and stood. "But I would rather not miss out on that so I shall return shortly." Not that she probably cared if he came back or not. She would likely have no troubles finding someone else willing to pay her price.

At any rate, he left the bar to fetch his payment and did indeed return within a reasonable time limit. He resumed his seat (after chasing off someone else that had dropped in to try and chat up the angel) and slid the full payment of 500 across the bar toward her. "Your payment for one hour of fun. If I owe you more by the end of the night I may or may not have that too." He gave her a sly smile at that. He'd pay the full amount up front that way there was nothing left for her to take off with if she decided to tie him up, drug him and rob him. And if he did owe her more when all was said and done, he'd put that somewhere safe where it could be retrieved and handed over later if required. Perhaps he'd watched a bit too much television but stranger things than people being robbed happened around the University, it was always best to be careful.

Devika had switched into what she would call her professional mode because with him offering to pay for her time. She would need to control her hunger for at least another hour, possibly more but that would only be known in time. She sighed as he walked away because she was hungry, and her eyes couldn't help but to scan the room looking for a quick meal. It was her inpatients getting the best of her but still she was annoyed. When the seat was occupied by someone else she played nice, just in case the vampire didn't return. She was all smiles and flirty but that turned off the moment she smelt that vampire came back into the club.

"Why thank you." She spoke as she took the money and causally placed it into her blouse for safety. The girl gave him a smile and stuck out her hand, after all a deal was a deal now wasn't it? "So tell me Nowe, you now have a willing an able female at your disposal for an hour. Where would you like to go?" She asked in a curious flirty manner. It was really up to him what was done and what wasn't but by the end of the hour she would have her own fun, that was the deal.

"If you would prefer some privacy, I am sure there is somewhere around here that we could go." She knew of a few places that she had used in the past, but it just depended on how much privacy the man wanted. Hell, Devika didn't care it wouldn't be the first time she got arrested for some sort of public display of indecency.

Nowe shook her hand briefly and considered her question. Where should they go? Somewhere private was definitely preferred and he was about to say as much when she brought it up herself. "While I wouldn't mind being adventurous, privacy would be best. My employer would not be at all pleased to have to bail me out of jail if I get arrested for public indecency." He half wondered if Evelyn would even actually bail him out if he did get arrested. She would have to at some point or so he hoped.

At any rate, he was happy to let Devika take him wherever she figured would best suit his desire for privacy. She would find him surprisingly willing to go along with whatever she wanted rather than to take charge of things as she was likely used to men doing. In part, this was because he wasn't really used to doing this sort of thing and was at a bit of a loss as far as how to proceed with, well, anything really.

Devika gave a nod as he said that he would prefer some privacy, a lot of people preferred things that way. She reached into her purse and pulled out a twenty and set it on the bar beneath the glass. It was more then enough to pay for the drink that she had ordered but she liked to tip well. With that done she slipped off the bar stool and stood up. She took the vampire by the hand and walked with him out of the club with a grin on her face. There was so much that they could do and Devika was rather interested to see what this man's taste was.

She lead the vampire out of the bar and looked around for a moment, she then headed in the direction of a little loft space that she used from time to time. It was fully furnished, owned by well what one could call a friend. It was one of the girl's in the game and she was given a key in case she needed a safe place to go.

It wasn't far away from the club and once they got close, Devika released his hand so that she could get the keys from her purse. "You'll like this place." She spoke as she walked up a set of stairs on the outside of what looked like a warehouse building. Once at the door she used the keys to unlock it and reached to the site and turned on the lights. It was wide open space, not a whole lot of decor but there was a kitchen, a small bar, and a bed. "Come on in make yourself comfortable." she spoke as she pointed to the couch or the bed. She didn't know what he had in mind so she wouldn't choose for him.

Nowe wasn't overly fond of the hand-holding but didn't protest. It might have looked odd if he pulled away from a girl he'd been chatting up and who, for any casual observer, he was off to have a little tryst with. That didn't mean he had to like it since it meant he couldn't go for his weapons if he needed to. Not that he expected to need to but it was simply something he had learned long ago to avoid whenever possible. But the night was quiet and it was unlikely that anyone would attack them out of the blue. And he was right, they arrived at the little loft space without any crazies trying to attack them though that didn't stop him from moving out of reaching distance when she released him.

He nodded slightly when she said he'd like the place but didn't comment. Somehow he doubted he'd like a place that he was pretty sure was used for unsavory deeds on a regular basis. She turned on the light (not that he needed it exactly, he had excellent night vision thanks to being a vampire) to reveal a relatively bland space. A kitchen and a bar, neither of which were of any interest to a being that could neither eat nor drink anything they had to offer. There was also a couch, a bed and not much else. "It's nice." He told her plainly, no sense in being rude and saying the place could use some sprucing up. He debated between the couch and the bed for a moment before heading for the bed and settling on the edge of it, bouncing a little and, for just a moment, resembling the seventeen year old boy he'd been when he was turned a couple hundred years ago. "So what do you usually do when you bring men to places like this? I'm guessing sex is on the agenda a lot of times." He questioned, not really caring what they did for the next hour.

Devika walked over to the mini bar that was in the loft and pulled a glass down from the hanging rack. She only pulled one because she knew it would be wasteful to make a drink for the vampire, but she needed something to keep herself occupied or she would slit the man's throat before it was time. "Thanks, it's not much but its a safe place." She shrugged. There was a lot of freaks out there and this was a place that got used almost daily so if something did happen it wouldn't be long for someone to find out.

The fae laughed a big as the vampire assumed that it was normally sex that took place here and while he was partly right it wasn't the whole truth. "No, not always." she spoke as she poured herself a glass of red wine. It wasn't blood but sometimes the illusion of it was what helped her stay calm enough to not kill someone so wine it was. "Actually a lot of people like to come here and just talk. Sometimes watch a movies, anything really." She spoke as she put the bottle of wine back into the wine fridge and then picked up her glass and walked over to the bed where he was sitting.

"A lot of people think that women like me only get paid for sex, but a lot of the times it is just about company, sex is just a bonus." She smiled as she took a sip from her glass before she set the glass down on the floor beside the bed and looked over to Nowe. "So it really is up to you what it is we do for the time you paid for." She wasn't one to assume, the only thing that she knew was that she was going to eat one way or the other.

Safe was a relative term. A place was never truly safe. It was still vulnerable to things like fire, weather and vandalism. But in terms of privacy, yes, this place was indeed safe. Of course, his idea of safe and hers were probably vastly different too but for the next hour, he could agree that nothing bad was likely to happen. As she explained some of the things that took place he shrugged. So she didn't always have sex with her clients. He didn't much care if he was honest, he'd just asked to break up the silence. He wasn't terribly interested in sex. So what did he do for the next hour? He didn't really want to sit and have idle chit-chat with this woman for an hour and he wasn't interested in watching a movie either. Perhaps actually paying her for anything had been a bad idea. But he couldn't exactly back out gracefully now. So he simply pushed forward instead. "To be perfectly honest it was mere curiosity that brought me here with you. I never understood the lure of paying someone for the sake of companionship. No offense to you, but I still don't." But than again, vampires weren't exactly the most social creatures out there (and Nowe less so than most) so that might have had something to do with it. "I'm not terribly picky so I don't care what we do. You can take what you need from me and leave if that's what you want." He told her with a shrug. He'd be happy to cut their session short and return to campus if the angel wanted to do that.

Devika wasn't one to understand the need to have someone around, because she didn't need people by her side, or sex for that matter. She just needed blood, which she could go without for a bit, just depended on her day. "It's something I don't put much thought into, to be honest. I make good money doing what I do, and even a fae has bills to pay." she shrugged.

Okay so Devika didn't have bills to pay, a client saw to all of that for her, but still she liked nice things and nice things cost money. Plus that whole blood thing, but really it was more of a money thing these day, but money makes te world go round and she got paid for sex who wouldn't love that job?

"I may be a call girl, but I am one that earns the money that my clients spend. I will however tell you that unlike most fae, I require blood to survive, much like you do. My methods are different from your's or other vampire, simply because I have to cut my victims where as you have fangs to assist you. This is why I cut my fee in half, because it lures people in, and because I don't have all those nifty vampire tricks, I actually have to make it worth te risks." she would have to reveal herself eventually so she figured now was better then later.

"I have some people I trade with, items for blood, but not many these days." she shrugged, it was getting harder and harder to find willing people because most wanted to be a werewolf or a vampire and she couldnt change then so a lot of people would say no.
