He hadn't wanted to start school. The Fae heaved a sigh, slipping away from a couple of his older siblings to head out across the Campus, his green eyes flickering about boredly. What did they expect him to learn here? He already knew his history, and he was beginning to learn a few languages from his siblings... What else was there that these people could possibly teach him? Adjusting the string around his neck that held his pure crimson crystal on it, he wandered under a few trees and shook his head. Maybe he would skip classes for a few days... Not like First would find out about it, and this was College for crying out loud. No one would notice or even care if he did. Zach's eyes flickered to crimson briefly as girls flitted past him, and he wrinkled his nose at their voice levels. He never did understand why they flocked together like that... Because from the amount of fighting he'd heard just today, he doubted it was for companionship. Perhaps it was for safety... Or something along those lines. Deciding he would rather continue his roaming, the Angel shrugged and carried on, looking for anything that might be considered interesting.

The distant sound of...something caught his attention, just as he was about to turn back and head towards the school. Tilting his head a bit, he moved towards the sounds until he came across something of interest. It appeared to be a boy...practicing? He liked practicing. Keeping his skills at their best were what he enjoyed doing with his free time, so he found himself entranced as he watched the other. Zachariel leaned against a tree, his bangs falling in his bright green gaze. The other was good, that was apparent. But how was he against someone else? Smiling faintly, the Fae moved just a bit closer, the crystal gaining an extremely faint glow as he got excited. He wanted to join in, but he didn't know how to ask.

So he would just stand there awkwardly, arms crossed over his chest as he continued watching. Maybe the other would notice him and something could happen...

Nowe had not been practicing long when he became aware of the presence of another nearby. He ignored it at first but when the person did not continue on and seemed to be lingering, he grew annoyed. Why couldn't people just leave him alone? He'd already chased off a group of girls who'd deciding that standing around and giggling would be a good idea and injured a brave young werewolf that had thought it would be fun to bravely jump in to spar but had no idea how to fight. Nowe'd cut him up a bit to teach him a lesson and sent him packing with his tail between his legs. He wasn't in the mood for company and he certainly didn't feel like having people stare at him like he was the most interesting thing on the planet. With a soft growl, the vampire snagged a throwing knife from the belt he was wearing, turned and let the knife fly. It embedded itself in the trunk of the tree the stranger was standing near, having passed less than an inch away from his ear.

For a long moment he just stood silently to see what the other would do and eventually folded his arms across his chest when it was clear the stranger wasn't leaving. "What? Don't you have anything better to do than to bother people when they're trying to concentrate?" He questioned, though in all honesty the stranger hadn't done anything more than stand there. But the fact he was there at all was irritating enough. Of course, he couldn't help but notice that the other was kind of cute but being cute didn't make Nowe any less annoyed with the fact he was just standing around being a creeper. He also seemed to be in good shape which was more than he could say for a lot of people around campus. But why did he even care what the kid looks like? He was probably just some clueless human who had no idea who, or what, he was talking to.

It seemed that he'd been noticed. The Angel merely raised an eyebrow when the knife was thrown close to him, and only turned his head a bit to peer at it with an amused look. If the man had been looking to scare him off, he was doing a poor job of it. In fact, Zach was even more intrigued now. Seeing the boy take on a stance similar to his own, he pushed away from the tree and took out the knife, stepping just close enough to hold it out to him. "Bother? No, I was just admiring your skill. It's flawless." Why was he complimenting a grumpy guy, anyway? He smirked a bit, just so he would be able to halt a fully smile, and shook his head. "Last I knew, just watching someone wasn't bothing them. Now, if I'd decided to poke at you, laugh, or just make myself as annoying as possible, then I would be bothering." He peered back at the seering blue depths that the other had and blinked a bit at them, shaking his head afterwards. A faint flutter from his stomach, but he passed it off as his hunger flaring up.

Zach glanced at what the man was working with as far as his sparring items went and nodded a bit, looking back at the other. "Though... Now that I'm being annoying, I gotta say... That last kick was a bit low. It should have been like this." Slipping into a fighting stance, the Fae made eye contact with the other again and flashed a grin, his eyes slipping to their natural crimson coloring. Whirling, he performed the last move that Nowe had done, ending it with a powerful kick before turning to look at the other. "Straighten your back a bit, and you can put more force behind it." He wasn't trying to lecture the other, but felt like giving helpful tips might put the other in a more talkative mood. If not, then he'd go about life and try and forget the grumpy jerk.

Nowe took his knife back with a huff and replaced it in it's sheath with the rest of his throwing knives. "When someone would rather be alone than have people staring at him your very presence is bothersome. So yes, you were bothering me." He replied coolly, though inwardly appreciated the comment on his skill. Of course he couldn't let the other know he enjoyed the compliment. "As for my skill, it should be flawless, I've been training for a very long time." Probably longer than the other had been alive if he had to guess. Though sometimes it was hard to judge age. This guy seemed....young though. There was just something about him that said he wasn't all that old.

Of course the moment the stranger decided to try and give him tips Nowe inwardly bristled. Hadn't he just said his skill was flawless? "Well which is it? A second ago you were telling me my skill was flawless. If it was flawless you wouldn't feel the need to try and give me pointers." He did have to admit that the other didn't have a bad fighting form and the kick he'd demonstrated was very well executed. So instead of being a real jerk and kicking the other in the face (which was sorely tempting), he merely shook his head. "The amount of force to put behind a kick like that depends on how much damage you want to do to your opponent. If you just want to hurt him you kick like I did, if you really want to hurt him or knock him unconscious, you kick like you did. I like being able to talk to my targets after I beat them, it's very useful in my line of work and sometimes time is of the essence. I can't always afford to stand around waiting for someone to come around because I knocked them out." Of course, every situation was different and sometimes it was best to take out your opponent quickly, either by killing them or subduing them (such as knocking them unconscious).

"I've been training a long time too. Ever since I was...younger." The Fae shook his head a bit, and he hid a smile by looking up at the sky when the other spoke up again. "It's flawless, but the tip was merely for the force. I didn't mean to offend you." Which he sort of had, considering the man was a jerk, but he hadn't tried to lay the Angel out, so he supposed he was nicer than most others. If it'd been him, he would have hurt him by ways of 'giving tips' in return. Shaking his bangs from his eyes, he tilted his head to listen, a small smile curving his lips. "Well, I've never had to beat people and talk to them afterwards. I've been taught to incapacitate them. And if I can't do it by physical blows, then to rely on other things." Rubbing the back of his neck, he looked around to see if there was anyone nearby, thankful that there wasn't. He was talking a lot, which was never good. The last time he'd talked too much, the other person had gone and done something stupid, and Zach...well... He'd lost the town he and his family lived in. But this one seemed a bit different. Sure, he seemed eager to get the Fae on his way, but he was taking a bit of time to explain things to him.

"Anyway. Didn't mean to be a bother. I was just bored and stopped when I found something that interested me." A shrug, and he folded his hands behind his head, his eyes still gleaming crimson. He would have left then, but something told him to stick around. Exactly what he would be waiting on, he wasn't sure, but perhaps something would happen. If not, then he would have to take things out on his brothers later. "Unlike some people, I can actually admit when I come across something worth admiring. And don't bite their heads off for it." Looking around a bit more, he started to wander away, only to have him stop dead in his tracks by a large hulking...thing. Blinking a bit, the Angel backed up a bit, the crystal around his neck glowing a bit. "Uh... I don't know what you are... But I'm just trying to-" The Hellhound snarled, lunging forward and missing the boy by inches. Cursing to himself, he yanked the crystal off from around his neck, his glamour shimmering a bit as it threatened to give-way.

He backed up a bit, unsure if he should form his scythe or not. "Any ideas on what that thing is?!" He asked the man he'd been harrassing earlier, crimson gaze locked on the creature as it stalked closer.

Training since he was younger? Yeah, this Fae (for Nowe had gotten close enough to smell the Fae blood in his veins) was young. Certainly younger than Nowe was. Which was odd, most Fae were older but most was not all. "I've been training since I was 'younger' too. I was only about....eleven when I started learning to fight. It's been many, many years since then." He flashed the other a smile for long enough to let him see his fangs and shrugged. "If you didn't mean to offend then here's a tip for you in return: don't give someone tips they didn't ask for. Generally that offends a lot of people." Clearly he wasn't going to get to enjoy his practice session and he sighed. He wasn't sure why he was even still talking to the guy but he also seemed unable to just walk away like he wanted to. Though he hated to admit it, even to himself, the Fae was interesting. "Then you've never had my kind of job. You pick up a lot of skills doing the things I do and you learn a lot of fun ways to incapacitate people or gain information." Of course 'fun' to him was not always fun for the person he was getting information from. It usually meant pain and blood and, eventually, death.

Nowe was sorely tempted to say he didn't exist for the entertainment of anyone else and that just because this stranger had found him interesting didn't mean he could be a creep and just stand around and watch without saying anything. Instead he merely shrugged and waved the comment away. "I'm sure there are plenty of other interesting things around for you to enjoy." Of course, his parting comment only earned him a glare as Nowe tried to figure out if he'd been complimented or insulted. Possibly both. His immediate thought was that vampires enjoyed biting things and that thought only led to another thought that Nowe pushed away more out of surprise than anything else. He wasn't sure why but the comment about biting made him wonder what it would be like to bite the irritating Fae that was walking away from him. Considering he didn't even know the guy's name and had all but told him to screw off, he was surprised that he even wanted to bite him, much less to feel disappointed that he was walking away.

But then the guy was stopping and Nowe was even less pleased with this newest arrival (and reason for the Fae's cease in movement). He'd faced a Hellhound only once before and it had taken a lot more than just one vampire and an annoying Fae to take it down. The fact that there'd been rumors of the demons loose on campus had not been happy news for Nowe though he hadn't heard anything more than rumors. Until now. And now he was pissed. Who in their right mind had summoned a freaking Hellhound and turned it loose? A snarl and the snap of teeth had him reacting before he could even complete the thought of what he was doing. He grabbed the other's arm and snatching up his stuff sprinted in the opposite direction of the Hellhound, tugging the other along with him. "It's a Hellhound. Trust me, you don't want to fight it." Of course, it was a good thing Nowe always planned for the worst and at the merest hint that there might be one or more Hellhounds loose on campus, had gotten in contact with a group of witches and powerful Fae to have them create containment circles on the grounds where he could lure the beasties and trap them until they could be dealt with. And lucky for them, there was one nearby.

Question was, could they reach it before the Hellhound reached them?

Big, hulking... Smelling like it had crawled out of its own grave. Yeah, Zach wasn't much impressed with the Hellhound as it advanced on him. The crystal in his hand began to glow brighter, almost as if it sensed it was needed at that moment. But he didn't want to let it... Not yet. Not until he was sure of a way to bring that thing down easily, because slashing without any sort of plan was foolish. He backed up a bit more, his glamour dangerously on edge of giving out on him as most of his concentration was on the thing coming towards them. Preparing to leap out of the way when it snapped at him again, the Angel could be forgiven for letting out a surprised noise when he was more or less dragged in the opposite direction. He stumbled a bit at first before he managed to keep pace, eyes slightly wide on the one pulling him away. "Hellhound?" The boy asked stupidly, picking up the pace as he ran. Never before had he come across something like it or even considered they would exist.

Except now he had one right at his ass and if he didn't move faster, it was likely to close those sharp fangs on him at any moment. He didn't question where the other was leading him; he just did his best to keep up. The Angel could almost feel the Hellhound's breath down his neck and it took everything in him not to turn around and see how far behind them it was. Thankfully for the pair, they would make it to the containment circle... Just not without incident. A sharp pain shot down the boy's thigh and he gave a pained cry, tearing his gaze away from where they'd been running to look down. Blood was beginning to pool from his jeans, and there was a huge tear in them...and his leg as well. He'd been bitten. Once the hound was trapped, the boy limped a bit further away and slid against a tree for support, gasping quietly to himself and clutching his leg. It felt like fire was spreading through him, and he was at a loss as how to get it to stop. "Gah... What did I do to deserve this...?" He muttered, starting to sweat a little.

"Big and nasty from the bowels of Hell. Not a beast you ever want to tangle with and certainly not something we want running loose on campus." If they weren't currently trying to outrun one of the damned things Nowe might have explained more but all the kid needed to know about the beast right then was what Nowe had just told him. Hellhounds didn't really need much more explanation than that. And surely he knew about the recent attacks on students and staff right? He had to have some idea of the danger they were in.

They were almost to their destination when a pained sound and the smell of blood alerted him to the fact someone was injured nearby. That someone happened to be the irritating kid he was still practically holding hands with. He swore vehemently and colorfully in a couple different languages and let the kid limp off as he fished his phone out of his pocket. He made a series of phone calls, growling out orders and snapping at stupid questions as he watched the Hellhound pace inside it's invisible cage. Once he had everyone informed that he needed to talk to (except Evelyn whom he planned to speak with once the student was healed and things not so hectic) he could do little more than wait for people to start showing up. While he waited, he turned his attention to the student. "Sit. The pain will only keep getting worse the the point you can't stand anymore anyway." He ordered, inspecting the wound from a distance. One of the calls he'd made had been to the infirmary to have some of the cure for Hellhound inflicted injuries to be brought.

He wasn't sure what to really say to the other and was quite relieved when the first people starting to show up. With only a few curious glances toward Nowe and the injured student, the ones involved in getting rid of the Hellhound went about their work quickly and efficiently. While they were still chanting and purifying or whatever it was they were doing, the assistant from the infirmary arrived and sought Nowe out. "Here you go. We're lucky to have this. It's saved a lot of lives. Just pour the whole thing on the injury and it'll start healing." Was all that was said before the vial was handed over and the assistant took off in a hurry. Clearly he didn't want to be anywhere near the Hellhound, contained or not. And Nowe really couldn't blame him. The thing was making an awful scene as it was being sent back to the depths of Hell. Or whatever was happening to it. It was not happy whatever was going on and it was making said unhappiness very well known. Nowe wasted no time in opening the vial and dripping the contents onto the wound as he'd been instructed. "Come on. Let's get out of here and let them work. They don't need us lingering around around." He said, helping the other to his feet. "My home isn't far from here. You can rest and heal there."

They made the short walk (though it probably seemed a lot longer than it was to Zach who was injured, though healing, and likely in a lot of pain) in relative silence before they came upon what appeared to be an old fashioned log cabin at the fringes of the woods. Nowe settled the stranger on the edge of the low porch and eyed the wound again. "Your pants are going to have to come off before you go inside. I may not mind blood as a general rule but I do prefer avoiding getting it on the carpets when I can. You look about the same size as me so you can borrow something of mine to wear home if you like." He didn't know why he was even offering but it seemed like the right thing to do. It was up to his charge whether or not he wanted to take him up on the offer.

In the time it took for the others to deal with the Hellhound, Zach was already beginning to curse the entire day. This was First's fault. If the damn Arch of the family hadn't been so insistent on them coming here, he wouldn't be in this month. The boy tilted his head back against the tree, the painful sensation spreading from the wound and up his leg, inching towards his hip and steadily feeling as if it was getting hotter. He didn't approve. Cursing to himself, he vowed that the next time he got a hold of First, he was going to rip him a new one. By this point, his teeth were slightly bared and his eyes shut tight, but a stirring in the air moments before he heard the other's voice had him cracking an eye open. More out of his inability to hold himself up anymore, he slid down the tree, groaning quietly from the pain. "I'm seriously tempted to just cut the damn thing off..." He grunted, more to himself than to the man who was more or less standing silently just a little ways away from him. The assistent was given a half-eyed glare as he skittered off, and it was clear from the look that he didn't think much of the boy.

Now the one who'd practically dragged his ass away from the thing hell-bent on eating him? That was a different story. Slightly foggy crimson eyes watched as Nowe poured the cure on the wound, and he gave a quiet hiss from the pain. It wasn't directed at the man though, and he allowed him to help him up, saying nothing for the time being. He kept most of his pained noises to himself, save for the few times that he stumbled and put too much weight on the leg. That hadn't been very pleasant, and he'd actually given a soft cry and bit himself until the wave passed. Once the home of the other came into view, Zach allowed his face to break into a slight expression of relief...up until the other turned to face him and asked something that didn't exactly sit well with the young Fae. "... Huh?" Was his eloquent response, not that he hadn't heard the other. He just wasn't sure he was willing to actually do it.

Don't get him wrong - he was aware they were both male and that he didn't have anything that this person didn't down there, but his family was the only one who'd seen him without pants. And a shirt and other clothing, but that's something to be gotten into later. His crimson eyes flickered from the door to his pants and finally back to the man, his cheeks holding the faintest of pink tinges to them. "Yeah... Alright... I'd appreciate that. Thanks." For a long moment he made no move to remove the pants, instead giving the other a long look as if debating something. Deciding that the other had seen odder, the boy dropped his glamour, spreading his black as night wings with their crimson flight feathers and flicking them a bit. Wrapping them loosely around himself, he undid his pants and carefully stepped out of them with another quiet pained noise, leaving them where he took them off and limping inside the home. He kept his head slightly bowed to hide the fact that he was blushing, but he'd done as he was asked. That's what was important, right?

This Fae could give him all the confused or disapproving looks in the world and Nowe wouldn't change his mind. Bloody pants were not coming into his home to get blood all over the place. He'd have enough trouble getting the other to stay still long enough to bandage the leg so it quit bleeding all over the place. Not that the bandages would need to be on for long, the wound was healing quickly after all, but it would still be more comfortable for the other and less messy for all concerned if they got it bandaged. "You heard me, Fae." Was his only reply.

Nowe was already considering what could be done to both keep the kid from bleeding even more than he already was and ease his pain. He hardly batted an eye when the other suddenly sprouted wings and used them to cover himself as he removed his pants. "Into the kitchen please. I want to get something over that wound while it heals so that, one, you stop bleeding and two, so the pant rubbing on the injury doesn't make it hurt any more than it already does." Nowe instructed before he picked up the blood soaked garment with a curious sniff (the kid's blood smelled rather good despite the hellhound stink). He followed the other inside and headed for the bathroom where he dumped the bloody pants in the bathtub and grabbed some bandages and then made a brief detour into his room to grab a pair of pants for the other to wear.

He returned to where the Fae was waiting and placed the necessary items down on the table. "Alright, this will only take a moment. I apologize if I hurt you while I work." Nowe informed him before quickly and efficiently bandaging the Fae's leg. "There. You should heal up pretty quickly. You can keep those pants if they fit. I don't have much to offer but you're welcome here until you're fully healed and rested." He offered, politely stepping back into the living room so the other could get dressed in privacy. When the other stepped into the room with him, he turned and gave him a curious, though slightly unsure, look. "Make yourself comfortable." He didn't know quite what else to say to the other so he said the first thing that came to mind. "So...what is your name? Surely it's something other than Annoying, Bothersome or Fae." He said, realizing he didn't know the other's name. And no, he had no intentions of giving his own unless the other asked.

He didn't make any other sounds in response to the man as he was instructed to go to the kitchen, and after a brief look around, he headed in that direction. Zach kept his wings wrapped firmly around himself as he limped to a chair and sat down carefully, lifting a wing to be able to look at the wound he'd been given. It was awful looking, and it burned like hell, but it would heal. He might even be left with a neat looking scar. For lack of anything productive to do, he carefully began to press around the wound, seeing how far the pain extended into his leg. After pushing a bit too hard in one place and having to bite back a pained yelp, he came to the conclusion that it was better to just leave it alone and not press at it. Curious crimson eyes flickered around the kitchen, taking in all the details he could before the other came back in with him. The Fae bit down on his lip with a small nod, only grunting once while his leg was bandaged; mind you, he only lifted his wing enough for the other to be able to reach the wound, and promptly lowered it when he was done. "Yeah, it's fine... Believe it or not, I've had worse." He replied quietly to the other, remembering the time Pyre had buried his dagger deep in his chest. Now -that- had been interesting to heal from.

Watching the man work on him had a calming effect though, and soon the Angel was relaxed enough to lean back a bit as the other backed up from him. It was much like how Patch would have done, though he would have swatted at Zach for getting so injured in the first place. Thinking of his brother's shenanigans made him smile a bit, and he managed to nod to the man as he left the Death Angel to himself in the kitchen. Trying to be careful about it, he tugged the pants on and gave a quiet surprised sound to find that they fit. A little too well, almost as if they were a pair of his own. Grunting a bit to himself, he followed the way the other went and stood in the doorway somewhat awkwardly, biting his lip and waiting to be noticed. At the invitation, he limped over to a couch and settled down carefully, actually smiling slightly at the question. "My name? Um... Reaper. Or Necro." He replied, still smiling faintly though he made no move to ask for the other's name in response.

Reaper? Necro? What sort of names were those? It took a moment for the answer to come to him and when it did he couldn't help the amused smirk that crossed his features. Of all the people he could have met today. He'd heard of Fae like this. Rumors mostly, but every rumor was remembered in case it was true. And now he had a chance to verify it. "Reaper? Necro? Am I to assume I have the Angel of Death in my living room?" Was it some sort of cosmic coincidence? Why else would this particular Fae show up and be irreversibly planted into his life? It could be....interesting to get to know this young man. The Angel of Death and an assassin who also happened to be a vampire could make quite an interesting team. Why such a thought crossed his mind he wasn't sure but he mentally shrugged it off. It wasn't like he'd see the kid again after today right? Why that thought sent a twinge of disappointment through him he couldn't say nor did he want to try figuring it out.

"Do you need anything to eat or drink? I don't usually keep anything in the house but I can have something brought up from the school. Also, don't mind the cats. They're harmless if you leave them to themselves." He commented, smiling a bit when his big orange Bengal Cat slunk into the room as if he'd been called. The leopard-spotted feline jumped onto the couch and eyed the stranger for a long moment, though he gave no obvious indications of aggression, there was something about him that suggested caution should be taken when interacting with him. "That is Gormogon. Ignore him and he'll go away. Make yourself comfortable. If you're tired there's a guest room down the hall, first door on the left. Or there's the television out here if you want to watch something. If there's anything else you need just ask." He was trying to be a good host. Whether he was succeeding or not he wasn't sure but at least he was trying. He could have just left Reaper to fend for himself without making an offer to get him anything.

Zach continued to sit calmly as he waited for the other to respond in some way, though when the response to his given names did come, it wasn't exactly one that he was expecting. Curious crimson eyes flickered back to the man once the smirk appeared, and he tilted his head a bit. Had he said something funny? He opened his mouth to ask, but promptly closed it when the other finally spoke, a small smirk of his own forming. Well then... This was the first time anyone had actually called him by his official title. "Reaper or Necro, yes. And yes to the second question too." The smirk widened a bit and he flicked his wings a bit, almost as if they were restless just being folded against his back like they currently were. Looking around a little, he absentmindedly stroked the crystal around his neck, glancing back at the other when he spoke again. The smirk he'd had softened into a slight smile and he shook his head politely. "Nah, I'm good. And I like cats..." He trailed off, tilting his head as he peered back at the large feline.

Admittedly, he'd never seen a cat like that before, which left him eying the Bengal as much as he was being eyed. The Angel flicked his wings again, the feathers raising slightly before slowly lying flat, a slight sign that he was uneasy. Though he had no fear of being harmed, he coudln't help but feel like he was imposing on the poor guy, and after the conversation they'd had prior to the Hellhound incident, well... It didn't exactly make him want to stick around. Instead of getting up to leave, Zach nodded and settled into the cushions a bit, his wings unfurling just enough to almost wrap around him. "Thank you- ... Uh... " Here he started to fidget just a little, offering the other a somewhat shy smile despite his earlier cocky-pain in the ass-behavior. "What's your name? ... If you don't mind me asking..." See? He could not be a pain if he wanted to. In fact, he wasn't really a jerk or an annoyance to begin with. He was a bit softer than that, and it seemed as if he was relaxing enough around the other male to show that.

At the mention of the TV, his crimson eyes brightened a bit and he cast his gaze over to it. They didn't have a TV at home, so he rarely got to watch it. He angled his body a bit towards it, flicking his wings again before looking back at the man as if to ask 'Please?', looking slightly childlike in this simple movement.

So he was right. This boy was the Angel of Death. "Fate has a twisted sense of humor; bringing the Angel of Death to one whose life had revolved around death for several hundred years." Reaper already knew that Nowe knew his way around weapons of varying sorts. There were even some decorative pieces on display, though a close inspection would reveal that they were all sharpened and just as deadly as a non-decorative blade. He watched the Fae, finding his gaze straying to the wings as they shifted. "If you do need anything just ask." He was glad he didn't have to ask for anything to be brought to his home. It was rare enough that there would be awkward questions and rumors to deal with later. Better to avoid them when he could.

The cat blinked slowly at the stranger in his home and yawned, showing off his sharp teeth before standing, stretching and padding over to Reaper to curl up next to him. Nowe watched with a soft smile and a slight nod. "He likes you." Why this pleased him he had no idea but he was glad Gormogon liked the angel. Domino liked most everyone but Gormogon only liked a few people. He was just about to politely excuse himself to leave the other to whatever he was going to do when the angel spoke and he hesitated a moment before answering the question asked. "Nowe. My name is Nowe." Normally he might have given a false name or simply not replied at all but there was something about Reaper that fascinated him and with every passing moment, he felt more comfortable around the angel.

He hid a smile at the fae's look and moved to pick up the remote. "Watch what you like. I have some things to take care of. Just call if you need something." He said, handing over the remote before leaving the room to make a couple calls and tend to a couple things he needed to take care of since he was home.

Zach watched the man for a while longer, and he offered another slight smile before nodding. He could agree to it, but it was highly doubtful that he would ask for anything, even if he needed it. Better to wait until he could get back to his brothers and sisters to let them deal with him. The Bengal was momentarily forgotten up until he yawned, and the boy found himself tilting his head to peer at the sharp teeth curiously before blinking as the feline got closer. The Angel lifted his arm slightly as he curled up at his side, a look of surprise giving way to a pleased grin as he lightly stroke the cat. "Was worried for a moment he didn't." He replied, his gaze flicking back to the man when he peered back at him. When his name was given, the Fae smiled a bit more, inclining his head slightly. "Then... Thanks for helping me, Nowe." After another moment, he allowed his gaze to return to the TV, giving a happy sound when the Vampire gave the remote to him. Once the other had left the room, he continued to stare at the remote, a faint flush coming over his cheeks when he came to a slightly embarrassing revelation...

... He didn't know how to use the remote. There were so many buttons! The boy frowned at the remote and tried pushing a few of said buttons, trying to get it to turn the TV on. With every wrong button he pushed, he gradually became more frustrated. Eventually he reached the point where he was just holding the remote in both hands and brandishing the stupid thing at the TV, making annoyed though pleading sounds. "Turn on you silly electronic!" When it didn't bend under the weight of his glare, he sighed and scooted off the couch, butt-scooting up until he was right in front of the stupid television. After giving it a hard glare for the longest time, he held the remote up to his face and randomly started to push more buttons, giving a soft yelp when the TV turned on finally. Looking pleased with himself, he crawled back onto the couch and curled up there, pushing more buttons until he managed to find the one channel he loved to watch above all else - the old cartoons channel. His bright green eyes got all the brighter watching one of his favorites (Tom and Jerry always managed to cheer him up, no matter what was wrong with him) and he started to pet the feline next to him again.

It would probably be a while by the time Nowe came back to check and see how the Angel was doing, but it was entirely likely he would find the boy completely passed out on the couch, his wings at awkward angles. He nuzzled into the pillow of the couch and gave a content sigh, the TV still playing the mouse and cat's shennanigans. In that moment he would probably look his most innocent, what with his lips slightly parted and him lightly snoring.

Once Nowe had left the Fae to himself, he'd more or less tuned out the noises coming from the living room and therefore had no idea Reaper was having any problems with the television. He made a couple of phone calls and looked in on a few bits of paperwork he'd been studiously ignoring for the past week or so before retreating to the basement to do a bit of routine maintenance on some of his weapons. Some days he felt like he was cleaning and sharpening blades more than he did anything else but it also brought him a measure of peace and calm when things got too stressful or irritating. So all things considered, it was no surprise when he realized he'd been all but ignoring his guest for a long while.

After finishing up the last bit of cleaning he was doing and making sure everything was back in order, Nowe headed back upstairs to check on the angel only to find him stretched out on the couch, Gormogon sprawled alongside his legs and a cartoon on the television. Nowe smiled at the sight, surprising himself with the emotion he felt behind the expression. It was...cute and, for some reason, it made him happy. Shaking his head a bit, Nowe quietly retrieved the remote from where it had been placed and turned off the TV. Gormogon stirred when Nowe gently prodded him and removed himself from the couch at a quiet command from the vampire. Though he had no idea if it would be necessary, Nowe pulled a blanket from a hallway closet and came back to carefully drape it over the angel. The only problem with his good deed was the fact Reaper had shifted slightly while he'd been out of the room and one of the angel's wings was positioned in such a way that if he moved again he'd tangle it in the blanket or the blanket would end up on the floor where it wouldn't do any good.

Considering his options, Nowe came to the conclusion that, for now, he'd just lay the blanket across Reaper's lover half and that way keep it out of the way of the angel's wings but still there if the fae got cold and wanted to cover up more. At this point, he found himself temptingly close to the fae's wings and discovered he was overwhelmingly curious about how they felt. Surely a soft touch to see how soft they were wouldn't be too bad? Before he could talk himself out of it, Nowe tentatively reached out a hand and brushed his fingers lightly across the feather's of the nearest wing.

The couch was way more comfortable than it had any business being. Zach gave a content sigh, not knowing that his host had returned to the room (or that he had turned off his precious cartoon), had rolled into the cushions a bit more, one wing sliding from where he'd had it. Being as deeply asleep as he had been, he didn't feel the other get closer, and he didn't feel it when the cat that had been keeping his legs warm had gotten off. The boy's breaths were even as he slept, deepening slightly when his subconscious began to dream. So he didn't feel the blanket being laid on him, though he did move slightly towards the Vampire once he felt the warmth from the material. Lifting his leg slightly, he managed to pull it up more, not knowing that his wing was nearly spread out off the couch and could potentially be hurt if he wasn't careful about how he moved when he woke up. This gave Nowe the perfect opportunity to feel his feathers should he want to...which seemed to be the very case. The man would feel a warmth nearly twice that of the boy's body temperature, and the feathers themselves would be amongst the softest things he'd ever feel. The wing quivered slightly under the other's touch, perhaps surprised that someone was willingly running their fingers along it. However, soon the world around the assassin would start to darken and get hazy until it was no longer his home, but somewhere else.

A good look at the room he was in would reveal it was mostly barren, and cold looking though the feel of the room was nothing like the looks of it. It was warm, and besides the stained glass window off to the side of the room, it would appear that nothing was there aside from the dark chandelier giving light to the room, a large tank of some sorts off in the other corner...and a bed. There was a small form huddled there, under a thin sheet and it appeared to be sleeping soundly. The sheet was damp, as if the one under it had been wet, and there was a pool of liquid under the hospital-ish looking bed. The tiny frame under the sheet gave a shuddering sigh, coughing somewhat wetly as it woke up. After a long moment, a head of dark hair would poke out from the sheet as the boy looked around, his bright crimson eyes wide with wonder. He looked no more than thirteen years of age, and from the way he looked around the place, it was as if this was the first time he'd ever seen it. He gazed at his surroundings for another few minutes before frowning and patting the bed next to him, as if he was looking for something. Slowly he sat up, staring at the tank a bit longer and giving a relieved sigh to see a form floating in the large tank in some sort of liquid. The glass was too murky for anyone to be able to see what was inside of it, even if they got closer, but he knew instinctively that the one he was looking for was in there. He was safe.

The door leading out of the room opened at this point, and a man looking to be in his early twenties swept in, his gray wings folded neatly behind him. First stopped when he saw the boy peering at him and blinked, tilting his head as he looked behind him. Acting on some sort of order from the one lurking in the hall, he nodded and walked up to the bed, offering the child a gentle smile when he leaned back as if afraid. "It's alright... I won't hurt you... Do you understand me right now?" He asked, smiling a bit more when the young Fae nodded slightly, though he was reluctant. "Good... My name is- ... First... My name is First. I'm your brother." Here the boy frowned and looked back to the tank, slowly looking back at the gray wing with the same frown. First chuckled and nodded, resting a hand lightly on the boy's shoulder. "Yes, he is your brother too. He's not ready to wake up yet. But you... You need a name. And then we can work on your speaking skills and introducing you to the rest of our family." Blinking at the older Fae, he nodded and tilted his head with slightly wide eyes. The man peered back over his shoulder, listening intently for a moment before nodding again and looking back to the boy.

"Your element is Necro... You are Death. But you are not as cruel as your element. You have feelings..." He moved to sit on the bed, smiling a bit sadly. "So despite Master wanting me to tell you that your name is solely Reaper... I think you should have a second name. Like all of us." The boy tilted his head more and nodded, waiting patiently for the man to finish. "And so... You, my youngest brother, will have the name... Zachariel..." It was at this moment that the memory would fade, slowly bringing the Vampire back into his room with probably more questions about the Angel than he had in the first place.

Nowe's hand had hesitated for a moment above the angel's wing. Thoughts skated across his mind. Was Reaper dreaming? If so, what was he dreaming about? Would he wake at Nowe's touch? How would Nowe explain what he was doing lurking there with his hand on the angel's wing? But he'd made his move regardless and marveled at the heat and softness of the feathers under his hand. He had just enough time to wonder at what made the feathers so soft and warm before he realized something was wrong. Instinctively he made to move away and found his back pressed against a wall. Which shouldn't have been possible. He'd have backed into the low coffee table before he hit the wall. Which would have been true if he were in his living room. Which he was not. He cautiously pressed himself back against the wall, keeping to the shadows as much as possible and took the room in at a glance. There was no one else but him in the room. At least no one in his immediate area that would have seen him. Curiously he scanned the room again. Something about this place tugged at the edges of his memory and he narrowed his gaze. It was different as he saw it now but he was sure he'd been in this room before. If not this exact room then one very close to it.

Before the memory could fully surface movement caught his eye and he watched as a boy sat up in the bed in the corner. There was something about him... When the boy's gaze raked past him, the name clicked: Reaper. This was a younger version of Reaper. Which made about as much sense as his desire to touch the angel's wings had. How could he be seeing this? More movement caught Nowe's attention and he froze, not having realized he'd starting moving toward's the bed and was now standing in full view of the person who had just entered the room. But like Reaper, this older Angel didn't seem to take any notice of Nowe and walked past without batting an eyelash. Could they not see him? Was he invisible? Curiosity and wariness mingled in his mind as he edged closer, listening as the newcomer spoke. First. So he had a name to go on. A nickname most likely, just like he thought Reaper was the boy's nickname. But it was something. Why he found it important he didn't know. Nowe edged closer in anticipation when First mentioned giving the boy a name, curiosity outweighing his caution. The form in the take he paid little attention to except to note that Reaper seemed aware of, and almost concerned for, it's presence.

When First looked back, so did Nowe but he saw no one lingering in the doorway and nothing out of the ordinary to suggest another presence. But as curious as he was to step into the hall and investigate what had caught First's attention, the gray-winged angel was speaking again and he fixated on his words. Necro, Death. So he'd been right, Reaper was the Angel of Death, though the angel himself had already confirmed as much it was useful to know he hadn't been lying for some twisted sort of amusement. But apparently Reaper wasn't like his element which didn't make sense. Though having seen with his own eyes the Angel of Death curled up peacefully on his couch watching cartoons he could believe it. How having feelings added into the equation he wasn't sure but he absorbed the information readily. But who was this Master? And why did he care what Reaper was called? A second name though, they all had one. How many were there? What was First's other name? Zachariel. The name bounced around inside his head, echoing and repeating itself until Nowe found he enjoyed letting the name resound inside his head. He didn't realize the memory was fading at first, as intent as he was on watching Reaper and First and letting the information he'd gathered settled into his mind. When he did realize something was happening, he instinctively grabbed for something, anything, to anchor him as the world around him dissolved.

He found himself back in his living room with his hand curled around a small handful of stray feathers. Apparently, at some point he had curled his hand into a fist and yanked it back, bringing with it some of the angel's wing feathers. Without knowing what to do, Nowe froze with the evidence of his deed in plain sight. There was likely no way Reaper would stay sleeping through someone tugging feathers out of his wing. Maybe Nowe could blame Gormogon. Or Domino who had just slunk into the room and was eyeing the wing as if were a particularly large and tasty bird. As his thoughts fluttered, Nowe realized he was..afraid. Afraid of angering the boy he'd wanted nothing to do with and had wanted to find any reason to hate not so long ago. Which didn't make any sense at all and only added to his hope that maybe the angel hadn't felt anything and would stay asleep. Somehow he doubted he'd be that lucky.

It was entirely too likely that Nowe wouldn't be getting any sort of response to the questions he had. At least not until much later on. The reason for the dream fading was the simple fact that the Fae was waking up. Which...probably wouldn't be such a good thing due to what had happened. Feeling the sharp twinge in his wing from his feathers being pulled out, his eyes would snap open and flash to crimson the instant the actual slight pain settled in. He gave a quiet sound of protest and rubbed his face hard, sitting up partially though his wing didn't move from the spot he had it lying in. It took him a moment to realize that he wasn't at home, and after that disorienting moment passed, his gaze settled on the one who had been caught red handed; or red feathered, as it were. Zachariel blinked, looking from his wing to the feathers in the Vampire's hand and back again, a slight pout pushing his bottom lip out a bit. Slowly a look that would resemble a kicked puppy would come over him, and he looked up from under his lashes at the man. "What was that for? I know I was annoying earlier, but plucking feathers while I'm sleeping is a bit much..." He sounded a bit irritated to be sure, but his tone was mostly faint hurt with an unsure undertone to it. His wing shifted a bit, furling a bit closer to him though still within the other's proximity as he waited.

"That kinda hurt... I haven't had feathers pulled out since that sparring match with Twister." He gave the spot the feathers had been pulled from a thoughtful rub, the feathers bristling slightly under his touch before he settled his gaze back on the man. What did he say now? Should he question the other and find out exactly what he was doing when the feathers were plucked? Or should he just roll over and try going back to sleep? Zach peered at the cushions he'd been nestled up against for a while and sighed, shaking his head slightly. No, there wouldn't be anymore napping for the time being. Maybe he should just gather his belongings (not that he actually had anything with him besides the bloody pants whose location he didn't know at the moment) and lea- Oh hey, a kitty. The boy's eyes flickered back to their normal green as he spotted the new feline, his expression brigthening slightly. "Pretty cat... . . . No, kitty. You can't eat my wing." He furled the appendage closer to him almost protectively, though the hint of a smile tugged at the corners of his mouth. Nowe would escape the Angel's anger for now it would seem, and the feathers that the man was holding would be all but forgotten...simply because of the man's cat. Perhaps that would be a good way to distract him in the future?

Great. So the angel woke up. Not the outcome Nowe had been hoping for at all. And he was...upset? Nowe had to force himself not to smile at the small pout the other gave him. It was...cute. But smiling right then seemed like a bad idea though Zach might see the hint of amusement in his eyes if he looked hard enough. "I...It wasn't like that." But how did he explain? Would the other be mad that he'd seen what he could only guess was a memory? Or could he explain it away as an accident and not mention the vision? He decided to go for the vague reply and not give away too much unless Reaper asked. "It was an accident. I didn't mean to pull out the feathers." Which was true. He hadn't meant to pull them out and therefore meant he should be forgiven. At least in his mind that's how this situation ought to play out.

"I'm sorry. I said I didn't mean it. You can have them back if you want." He added, holding the feathers out toward the angel. He was tempted to ask who Twister was but decided now wasn't the best time and instead merely waited for some response to his half-hearted apology. He was surprised to find that he sort of hoped Zach would let him keep the feathers. At the very least he did kind of want to keep one. He wasn't sure why but he did. As his visitor's gaze drifted to Domino and he spoke, Nowe let his gaze wander too. Domino dropped into a crouch when Zach shifted his wing, clearly preparing to pounce, when Nowe frowned at her. A sharp command in German had her narrowing her eyes at the vampire and she sauntered off with a haughty flick of her tail. "That was Domino. She may be pretty but she doesn't like anyone. She'd sooner shred you than curl up on your lap. She's about the least friendly cat I've ever met." Domino had clearly gotten more of the wild genes of her breed than Gormogon had. Not even Nowe was safe from her teeth and claws.

Realizing their conversation had stalled, Nowe tried to think of something else to say and finally settled on what he considered a relatively 'safe' topic. "How's your leg? It should be mostly healed by now." He commented, indicating the location of the other's injury. For some reason, he half hoped the other was still hurting and not quite interested in going home yet. He realized that was a bit mean, hoping someone was in pain just to spend more time with them. But he couldn't help it. He wanted to spend more time getting to know Zach.

Zach tilted his head slightly when his gaze flickered back to the man, and he waited for the other to say something to him. Possibly some sort of retort, or maybe just a cool remark like he'd come to be accustomed to. When the other merely apologized, the Angel blinked, nodding slightly though he had to wonder how his feathers had gotten pulled out in the first place. "Were you touching my wing? You know you could have just asked to feel one and I wouldn't have minded." He replied quietly, running his hand across his feathers again and shivering slightly. When the Vampire tried to give the feathers back, he shrugged and waved the other off a bit, smiling faintly. "Nah. Keep 'em. I've got more like them and I -did- annoy you earlier. Consider it an apology for being a pain in the ass." He found his gaze flickering back to the feline, and finding himself tilting his head more at the German. Frowning thoughtfully, he played the command over in his head a few times before he eventually just gave up with a sigh. He had no idea what that meant... He'd probably have to go back to studying his books again which he really wasn't looking forward to. He remembered most of the cuss words, though, and knew the extremely basic...well. Basics. But to actually study again... Oh. The other was speaking again.

The Fae blinked back at the man and nodded slightly as he watched the feline slink off, smiling faintly with a nod. "Not the first time I've come across animals like that. Still. She's very pretty, and I like the other one... Gormogon, you said?" He tilted his head more and looked around, looking for the one who had curled up along his legs earlier. "I always wanted pets, but wasn't really allowed to have any... Though I know First has a pet something or another hidden in his chamber. Just don't know what it is." To this he pouted again, shaking his head with a sigh before closing his eyes again. Maybe he could fall back asleep after all... But that would be rude considering Nowe had come back to speak with him. One did not simply pass out on one's host. At the mention of his leg, he reached out to touch the area where it was bandaged instinctively, only wincing slightly as he looked back at the man. "It's okay. Still kinda hurts and I really don't want the others to know I was hurt yet... Do you...mind if I stay a bit longer...?" His tone had become almost shy as he looked at the other, biting his lip slightly as he waited for the answer. If the man didn't want him sticking around any longer, he could go back to his family and let them rip him a new one for not coming home first.

First... Zach facepalmed, shaking his head a bit. The Arch of his family was sure to know he was hurt already. He always had a knack for knowing, or finding out, when the incidents happened and how badly they were hurt. Which made sparring with Shade and Pyre almost impossible most days seeing as how they always looked to hurt him as much as possible. To 'help train him better' they said. Bah. He knew better. Trying to shake off his thoughts, his gaze refocused on the Vampire, and he found himself suddenly...anxious of what the other would say.

Nowe had to bite his tongue to keep from making a smart comment at the angel's question. How else would he have gotten the feathers? Magic? "Ja. I know I could have asked but you were sleeping. I was just putting a blanket over you and your wing shifted. It was...tempting. I touched before I could stop myself." Which was all entirely true, though he had hesitated before giving in to temptation. He could have stopped himself. Truth was, he hadn't wanted to. That and he hadn't wanted to be awkward and ask when the other woke up. When he was waved off and told he could keep the feathers he wasn't quite sure what to say. "Uhm...thanks." He let his hand drop, and he gazed at the feathers a moment. What would he do with them now? Sure he'd wanted them but for what reason he wasn't sure.

"Mhm." It wasn't a great answer, really, but he didn't know what to say to the comment about his cats. They weren't always the most friendly of creatures and it wasn't like he could hold a conversation with them or anything of the like. "Why aren't you allowed to have pets? And who is First?" He questioned, though he had an idea of who First was. He'd seen him in the vision. Mostly he was just trying to gather information during polite conversation. It wasn't exactly prying if Zach had brought it up first right? At the wince Nowe couldn't help a slight nod even as the other spoke. "Stay as long as you like. If you're still tired there's a bedroom down the hall. If there's anything else...." He trailed off and finally decided that standing around was beginning to feel a bit awkward, stepped away slightly and considered settling on the edge of the couch a polite distance from Zach.

However, he did not sit and instead moved away a bit, placing the feathers on the entertainment center where neither Gormogon nor Domino could get to them. He'd take care of them later. Once he had the feathers set where he wanted them, he moved to a hanging key rack tucked away in a discreet corner and pulled down a key ring with only one key on it. He considered it for a moment before moving back over to the couch. Without a word, he took the angel's hand and placed the key on his palm, closing his fingers around it. "This is a key to the house. I'm not always home but you're welcome here any time if you want some peace and quiet. Just let yourself in." The act surprised even him but it...also felt right. He'd never given anyone a key to his home before and he wasn't sure why he was doing now. All he knew was that he couldn't take it back now, not that he wanted to. He rather enjoyed the idea of Zach dropping in unexpectedly. And maybe he'd get lucky and be home on occassion when the angel decided to stop by.

Zach nodded along to the other's explanation of how he'd gotten the feathers. That was nice of him, even though he wasn't necessarily cold. The blanket was soft though, and the Angel wriggled slightly to pull it up more, offering the man a small smile. "It's all good. I used to do the same thing to my siblings before my own wings showed. I understand. Did they feel like how you thought they would?" He asked, shifting his position slightly when the other asked about the very things he'd brought up himself. "Ah... We just moved around too much, and sometimes we didn't really have the money to feed ourselves, much less a pet. And with my temper, they thought I would try and kill it if I got pissed enough." At this he frowned slightly, looking down at the blanket and flicking his wings slightly. "I know better than to hurt an innocent animal, even if I'm murderous. But First wanted to wait until I grew up more and learned to control my temper for the most part before even considering it, but I'm hoping I can talk him into a pet now. I mean, I'm old enough to take care of one now." Probably quite young as far as most Fae go, but he was still old enough to be responsible, as far as he could tell.

At the next question, he tilted his head slightly as he tried to find a simple way to explain who First was. Because Zach knew he was a bit more than just his 'oldest brother'. He was the Archangel, and some claimed that he was the true Angel of Judgment, which the boy was all to willing to go along with from what he'd seen. "First is...my big brother. The oldest in my family. He more or less raised the rest of us, so I guess he could be a father figure to a degree too." A quiet moment passed as he remembered all the times he'd either gone running to First because his siblings (or a nightmare) had upset him, or when the eldest Angel had scolded him for doing something wrong. The memories brought a small smile to his face once again and he shook his head slightly, the smile only widening at the other's offer. "Thank you... I really appreciate that. Don't want my siblings to find out I got hurt, you see. Don't really need them harping at me for being 'careless' or whatever." Especially Patch. He would be on the Death Angel's case for hours on end, especially since he'd sought refuge with a man he barely knew and allowed him to bandage him up. Oh, the Water Elemental would have an absolute field day when he found out. With luck, he'd be able to keep this a secret between him and the Vampire...

A Vampire who was suddenly passing him something and whom he should have been paying attention to. Zach blinked a bit, opening his hand to look at the key, then lifting his gaze to peer at the man in what was a mix of awe, happy, and unsure. "Are you...sure you don't mind...?" He asked quietly, his green eyes wide on the other, closing his hand again and holding his fist over where his heart was. He opened his mouth to say something else when a knock came at the door, startling the boy a bit. The Fae's gaze snapped to the door, and he went still for a moment once he recognized the energy wave of the one behind the door. "How the hell did he... Fluch!" Pulling the blanket up more, he looked almost wistfully at the hallway as if he was contemplating whether or not he wanted to flee to the previously mentioned guest bedroom. It really shouldn't have surprised him... After all, First was all too good at tracking down his family when he wanted to.

Nowe tipped his head at the question. How did he answer when he hadn't really been sure what to expect. "I wasn't really sure what to expect, to be honest. I've never had an opportunity to touch an angel's wing before. I never expected an angel to even allow me close enough to try." Of course, he'd never met an angel fae before and his experience with stories of angels were often the ones connected to the human bible and...well...God and His angels were the last people he expected would want to associate with a vampire and a murderer who had ceased believing in anything of the sort a long, long time ago. "I guess, they were warmer than I thought they'd be. And soft. I've felt feathers before, mostly bird feathers and they weren't quite like that." At the explanation of why he'd never been allowed a pet before, Nowe frowned. They didn't trust Zach to keep it alive? Or rather not to kill it if they pissed him off, it seemed. Nowe had only just met him and could see no reason why that should be a concern. Though a belated moment later he remembered that this was the Angel of Death and death was probably something he was all too familiar with. "How old are you?" He asked it before he could stop himself and mentally scolded himself for not keeping his mouth shut. It was...a rather rude and personal question and he waved it off. "You don't have to answer if you don't want to. I'm merely curious." And apparently cannot hold my tongue around you. He said, as if the question didn't matter to him and adding the last part inside his head.

So First was a figure of respect for Zach. And Nowe found himself not sure if he ever wanted to come face to face with him. Not that he was afraid of First, but for some reason the thought of meeting First and being found lacking and therefore not acceptable to be around Zach was....he wasn't sure what term to apply to the feeling and it frustrated him. Why did his feelings have to seem so alien to him? And why was it that Zach had this effect on him anyway? "It's fine. You'll be good as new before long and they'd never even need to know about it if you don't tell them." It's not like Nowe would tell them, he didn't even know who they were and he wasn't about to reveal he was more caring than most of the students and staff at the school knew. Something that still frustrated him a bit. He didn't always want to be seen as a monster, someone to be wary of and feared. But that was his job and so he played his role accordingly. Though Zach didn't seem to care one way or the other. Either he'd never heard rumors about the Dean's Guard or he simply didn't care but he hadn't seemed the least bit afraid.

"If I minded I wouldn't have given you the key." He pointed out with a slightly amused look. He might have said more but there was a knock and immediately he was on alert. He wasn't supposed to be home. No one knew he was there and therefore no one should come knocking at his door unexpectedly. Zach, however, seemed to know who it was and he shot him a look at the words, briefly wondering at his use of German, before looking back at the door. He wondered if he could get away with not answering but realized his uninvited guest might have seen them though the window and knew they were inside. Mentally grumbling to himself about the interruption, Nowe moved to the door and pulled it open just enough to look at the man on his doorstep. He was older than he had been in Zach's vision. But it was unmistakably the angel that had introduced himself as First. Nowe's mind provided several options for a greeting, none of them particularly nice, before he settled on simply looking irritated and clearly not about to invite the angel inside without some manner of explanation. "Can I help you with something?" He questioned, sounding about as polite as could be expected considering the obvious annoyance that was plain on his features.

In response to the other's answer to his initial question, Zach smiled and tilted his head slightly. There was also a tiny bit of pride in the look, and he shuffled said wings behind him a bit more. "Thank you. I try to take good care of them... Learned a special technique at spreading a special kind of oil on the feathers at least once or twice every two weeks. That's for the softness. The warmth you feel, oddly enough, is the same temp it is inside my body." Here he tilted his head more, looking thoughtful. "Learned that bit of random info from Patch. Poked and prodded at everyone for years so he could learn our anatomy and stuff... Helps when we get hurt and stuff." He shrugged, looking up at the ceiling for a moment, glancing back at the Vampire from the corner of his eye with a sly look. "I just celebrated my one-hundred-and-fifty-first birthday about...five months ago." He was still almost considered a 'baby' as far as Fae-age went, but he was pretty happy with it. He could be amongst the thousands, like First was after all. "So I'm still young. First is ancient though. He's got to be amongst the oldest as far as Angels go."

Speak of the devil, and he shall appear, it seemed. After Zach's initial cuss in German, he pulled the blanket up and over his head, peeking out of it with a look of slight panic. He hadn't wanted anyone to find out he was hurt, and he was sure that some of his siblings had heard of the Hellhound menace. Surely First would have been informed, and if he knew that his youngest brother had been bitten by one... Hell would break loose. Almost literally. The Angel at the door gave the owner of the home a polite smile, his charcoal gray eyes guarded. "Why yes. I'm sorry for the intrusion, but I believe you have my younger brother here. I feel his energy wave, so I'm certain he is inside." He replied with another smile, seemingly forgetting that most, if not all people, were unable to feel and recognize energy waves of others. "I just would like to confirm that he is alright. His wave fluctuated badly, and I just wanted to make sure he was okay. I was worried." The Death Angel was listening intently to the conversation, mentally kicking himself. He knew that his family would be worried, and he knew he would go out searching for them if he felt any of their waves behaving oddly.

For a long moment he felt guilty, knowing that he had willingly hidden from them to try and heal as quickly as he could. But he still didn't want the other finding out just how badly he'd been hurt, so he opted to keep quiet for the time being and let Nowe deal with the Angel. He wouldn't step in unless he felt like he absolutely had to.
