[Only admins are allowed to see this image]Eliza once again sat in her office, her pen moving effortlessly over white paper signing her name here or initialing there. It had been a few weeks since the hell hounds were sent back to hell and everything slowly went back to normal. Yes she had caught up with the wolf man for a cup of coffee, spare a few moments to catch up and then head back to work. She had been in her office for the better part of two days. Only leaving to sleep. All her meetings were held here, her food and entertainment (if she had any).

Niles had become worried about her, he knew that she had always been a busy woman but he would think that now that she had someone that caught her eye she would try and spend more time with them. But then again, his mistress always seemed to surprise him. Which was why he had taken the liberty of breaking several pipes right above her office. Which would most likely start to seep through right about now.

Signing her name on the last document she handed the paper to the maid to have it mailed and leaned back in her chair. She had said she would meet Arian at the cafe an hour ago, but she had got caught up with work that she lost track of time. "Damn it." she said harshly slamming her drawer close. Something wet hit her cheek, brows furrowing she looked up to see the growing wet spot on the ceiling. Standing from her chair she tilted her head slightly at the sight. "What the..." before she could finish her sentence the ceiling gave way and a stream of water fell open on her head.

"NILES!"

On cue the butler walked in and gasped in mock shock. "Oh dear...it would seem the pipes have busted...I shall call a handy man right away." He smiled to himself and hurried out of the wet office before making a quick call to Arian. His mistress needed a break who better to give her one than her own wolf Romeo.

An hour had gone by since arrived at the café. An hour! Actually, it had been more than an hour because Arian was a gentleman and had shown up a little early to get Eliza’s drink before she got there. Instead of drinking the drink with a beautiful woman he sat in the café alone reading the paper though it was always the same sort of news in this town.

After an hour or so the wolf gave up. He checked his phone a few times, but wasn’t very good with texting and didn’t bother to try and hammer out a sentence to send to her. The on screen keyboard never understood what his fingers were trying to say anyway. Maybe she had just become busy, or maybe she forgot…

Just as he checked his phone one last time he saw it ring and answered after a few seconds. The person who was on the other end made the wolf’s eyebrow raise, but he did as the Butler asked without too many questions.

Nearly half an hour later there was a knock at Elizabetia’s door. Francesca was the closest, getting ready to go out and torment the poor Professor she had wrapped around her finger. She answered the door and tilted her head with a smirk. “My, my, my… the delivery boys they hire now days are quite a treat for the eyes. What do you want?

The wolf feigned a curt smile at the woman then glanced around her, raising a brow as he glanced inside the house. “Niles called me and said you had a leak.”

The vampire looked him over like a hungry lioness and mulled it over before stepping to the side. “Come in.” She strode towards the room that she heard water coming from but glanced around, making Ari slightly uncomfortable with the way she watched him. “Oh, Niles… you have a visitor.” She called out, looking in room after room though fully aware who Ari was truly there for.

[Only admins are allowed to see this image]Eliza had spent the last thirty minutes picking books off the bottom row of her bookshelf so they wouldn't be damaged. Her hair clung to her like second skin as did her clothes. Her floor was covered in water which made a squishy sound every time she walked. "Niles! Where the hell is that repair man I feel like I'm in the Amazon during a monsoon!" the vampire yelled loudly walking around the steady stream of falling water from her roof. The maids hurriedly gathered things off the floor and moved her desk. Eliza was not in her happy place...not at all.

Niles merrily made his way around the corner, "Master Arian, how good to see you." The butler would look over his shoulder as a small marble statue came flying out of Elizabetia's office shattering into little pieces on the hard wood floor. An angry scream came from the woman inside. Niles bowed slightly at the waist and motioned for Arian to follow him. "Mistress is very angry I'm afraid." Angry was an understatement. So he may have broke the pipes a little too much. He had good intentions...but bad choice in placement. Eliza's office was like her sanctuary and it was currently going under water.

"NILES" Eliza bellowed once more tossing another box out the door to save it from the flow of water that had now taken over her office. She had just redecorated this room too thanks to Anka occupying her old office. Had she known it was so easy to flood she'd have her office in the damn cellar. This was just not her day, Arian was probably furious, she looked like a damn drowned rat, most of the antiques in this room were now ruined and most of her journals were now soaked. "Someone just bloody shoot me.

First he had been stood up, now he was being called to fix a burst pipe. Plumbing wasn’t exactly Arian’s strong suit but it was amongst the things he knew how to tinker with (and when I say tinker, I mean he could damn well fix most things wrong with it. The man never gave himself any credit). The old wolf followed the man through the halls and knitted his brows when he heard the water. “You haven’t shut the water off?” He glanced inside the room to see a soaked vampire and books most likely ruined. “Shut the water off!” Why wasn’t that done in the first place? Goofy vampires.

The wolf urged the butler to hurry and shut the main water line off and shook his head, taking a good long look inside the room at the flood. With one hand on his side the other ran over his hair and he began rolling up the sleeves to his shirt. “You’ve got some nerve, madam.” He said to Eliza, looking her over as he waited for the water to cease. “Blowing me off then breaking your pipes to get me to come over.” He made a ‘tsk tsk tsk’ sound with his teeth and shook his head with a smirk.

Francesca watched the whole ordeal, standing back and out of the way of Eliza’s tantrum. She peeked inside the room then watched Arian roll up his sleeves. “Are you certified in piping?” Where had this Hillbilly come from? What did he know about fixing things? Francesca looked to Niles skeptically and looked him over, looking for any signs of mischief.

“Did you want me to leave so you can find a real plumber?” Arian asked Francesca with a raised brow.

She opened her mouth to say yes, but quickly shut it after a glance at Niles and shook her head. Instead she looked to Eliza, knowing fully well the older vampire was wishing it were any other circumstance that had Arian visiting their home.

[Only admins are allowed to see this image]True, Niles could have turned the water off, but why not give the wolf something to look at while he was working. Nodding he hurried outside and turned off the water, much to Eliza's delight. Slowly the water came to a hault until only small droplets fell on the ruined carpet. Eliza's nerves were on end. This was not her day, first she misses her date with Arian and now her office was ruined thanks to a busted pipe. "Great...just....fucking great. This day can't get any worse. " Now, Eliza didn't curse, but when she did...it wasn't good.

God, must be having a field day with Eliza, sure enough not two seconds after the words left her mouth a familiar voice. Turning slowly her eyes fell upon Arian. Letting out a defeated sigh the vampire slapped her arms to her thighs and flopped down in her squishy chair. "I didn't mean too. It's just been a really shitty day." Eliza chuckled and gently kicked a pile of paper by her feet. This was not how she planned on meeting Arian today. She planned on dressing in the new outfit she bought, wearing a nice perfume, and being her normal elegant self, but it would seem every time she had a meeting with the wolf God had to make it where she was either covered in blood or looking like a wet rat.

Niles gave Francesca a stern glare not to mess with Arian. Eliza was at her wits end and the wolf seemed to calm her down. The last thing he needed was for France to go off and say something again. "I'm sure Master Arian is perfectly capable of handling the situation." Niles said defending Arian from France. "We'll leave you to work."

The curse didn’t get passed Francesca’s ears and had she been any nicer she would have given Eliza a moment to cool down before shoving Arian at her. However she wanted to test the wolf and see just how much he could withstand. Would he turn tail and run out the door when he saw a woman upset? Every move he made was criticized internally by the protective vampire even as Niles shooed her away. She glared at him, but moved along when he gave her the hint to leave.

“Tell me about it.” Arian said coolly with a smirk as he stepped into the office, the water not bothering his thick boots. He glanced up at the problem area and mulled things over before looking back to Eliza. “Have you had a leak problem before? These pipes normally don’t just break.” Not without mischief or meddling with.

Normally Arian was a man of few words to those who didn’t know him well, but it seemed he was opening up to Eliza. It was the least he could do after she’d saved his life. He stepped around her office, grabbing a few things that were in the most dangerous zone to get wet and putting them up higher after shaking off what water he could. Always the curious type he glanced at a few of the things to gauge what Eliza liked or did in her spare time, but quickly set them down and out of the way so as not to seem nosey.

“I need to get my tools out of my truck.” It was a different truck, but similar to the one she had nearly lost her life in. The wolf cleared his throat and gave her a once over before heading out the door to go get the tools he needed to fix the obviously rigged pipe.

[Only admins are allowed to see this image]Niles rolled his eyes at Francesca and her glare she was giving Arian. He understood her protectiveness over Eliza, just as he too was extremely protective of his mistress but he had a good feeling about Arian, and most of the time Niles' intuition was normally right. Arian liked Eliza and for the first time in a long time Niles saw a spark in his mistress that he hadn't seen since Master Sebastian had gone missing. She liked him, more than she let on, more than she let him or Francesca know. Elizabetia was afraid to allow anyone close to her for fear of losing them as well. But she seemed to be taking a chance on Arian.

Eliza forced herself to smile as Arian picked up some of her more valuable pieces and set them high to avoid water damage. He was a good man. Eliza's dark eyes followed his up to the hole in the roof with small droplets of water still leaked out of the now closed pipe. "No, we've never had leaks the house is well taken care of or at least I thought it was." Niles always saw to the upkeep of the house, this had never happened before. She looked out the door at the butler who quickly turned on his heel and walked away from the door a smile plastered on his old lips.

The vampire was happy Arian wasn't upset with her, of course it sucked to be stood up and she would have made it up to him somehow but he was here now and that was what mattered. She looked at herself in the mirror and gasped slightly, she looked horrible. Her clothes were plastered to her frame, her hair had started to curl, her make up had also began to run which she quickly fixed hoping Arian didn't see her looking like a damn raccoon. "Very well..." she said watching him head back out of the manor towards his truck. Quickly running to her bedroom she more or less ripped her outfit and quickly began to look for something else to wear. But for some reason...she couldn't find anything. "Marie...where are my clothes?" A small Spanish maid came into the room and bowed slightly at the waist, "It is laundry day Ms. Elizabetia."

The vampire slapped the palm of her hand to her forehead and cursed whatever God decided to fuck with her today. Pulling out a white nightgown she sighed and pulled it over her head, and added the matching robe. This definitely not the outfit she wanted to wear to see Arian. It was a gift Francesca had given her on one of her crazy days. It was long with a slit up the side that exposed her left thigh up to her hip, it was white and lacy and flowed elegantly over her body. The robe was almost transparent with decorative floral patterns stitched at the bottom. "Perhaps I should just stay in my room." she said tying up her hair into a messy bun. "I feel like I'm in a porn." She could see the title now, "Seducing the Plumber."

Well taken care of… right. Arian chewed the thought over with a smirk and glanced to the butler in the hall who dipped out of sight just in time. It threw the wolf off that he had been ditched only to be beckoned over, but Arian wasn’t one to delve too far into the plots of others. He was a simple man, and took things with a grain of salt. So he didn’t mind helping her at all, and was glad Niles gave him a call.

Once outside he grabbed his box of tools out of the back of the SUV he drove and threw a couple extra things in. He took his time gathering his things and mulled over what he would need before going back inside. At first he walked in, then stopped with a wince and walked back to the rug to wipe his boots off. He had to be civil inside her home. After a few minutes he was back to her office and set the red box of tools down and kicked it open, staring up at the ceiling and sighing heavily. Just as he adjusted himself and looked for something to step up on he heard Eliza come back and froze when he saw her. His breath caught slightly and it took every ounce of strength he had to not look her over (even though he did… just a little!) like a hound dog. Instead he cleared his throat and forced himself to point to the ceiling.

“Do you have a ladder?” God, don’t stare at her too much. He glanced up to the broken pipe then to his toolbox and immediately felt like a nerd who couldn’t look at the pretty girl. The wolf cleared his throat again and looked for other wet things to pick up and put out of harm’s way. “I hope you have copies of all this stuff.” The paper things may have been ruined.

[Only admins are allowed to see this image]Eliza cleaned up her face of the running making up and looked herself over in the mirror. God she looked like she was ready to rut with the first person who wandered into the room. Had France been closer to her size she would have asked the woman for something to wear, that and France also didn't wear the same style. Eliza was very chic lots of whites and cremes, France was more...colorful with reds and purples. That and the woman had huge breasts. With a sigh she slipped her feet into the matching slippers and made her way out of her room and back towards the office.

Niles had just rounded the corner and did a quick double take, good lord she was already wearing lingerie around the man. "Lord if you're listening please don't let the man die of a heart attack...the last thing we need is a dead wolf in a vampire nest." Niles finished his small prayer and continued on his way casually glancing around for Francesca. What on earth would she say if she saw Elizabetia dressed in such an outfit. Probably something smart assy and make some bit about Eliza getting some.

Nibbling on her lip Eliza walked back into her wet office, where Arian had returned. He seemed to be searching for something when he finally saw her. A rush of blood flooded her cheeks tainting them a soft pink, oh good lord she should have just stayed in her room. The look he was giving her made her feel like a school girl that just had her crush talk to her or something. Pulling her lip inbetween her teeth she wrapped her arms around herself and walked into the room carefully picking up statuettes and vases. As if on cue, Niles walked pass Eliza and handed Arian his ladder, giving him a playful wink he bowed slightly and walked out of the room singing some opera song as he went. "They're just some of my old journals...I've had them photocopied in case of such a thing." though that doesn't mean she didn't care about them. But they were old and some were basically falling apart. "So..." she cleared her throat and rocked slightly on her heels. "I'm truly sorry I missed our da...coffee meeting...I was just overwhelmed with work." she had almost said date. Way to catch yourself there Eliza. "I'll have to make it up to you."

Arian had fixed things for people before and had worked a few times as a handyman for various things, but never had he worked for someone as beautiful as Eliza. Eliza dressed in lingerie, nonetheless. How was he supposed to get any work done? When he wasn’t biting his tongue and clenching his jaw to not stare at her he was busy looking all around her office to keep himself occupied.

As if she knew something was happening, Francesca waltzed past the door to Eliza’s office. She did a double take as well and stopped in the doorway, taking a good long look at her maker and the wolf’s expression. “I’m glad you like my gift, Eliza. There’s more where that came from.” Finally France had an excuse to buy Eliza some lingerie (the taller vampire’s closet was full of it – a fact anyone working on her laundry knew). The vampire smirked and hurried after Niles, swatting at his chest and arms with a grin on her face. “I bet he’s an animal! Did you see the way he was drooling over her? He may be a hillbilly but—.” The expression she made said it all and she moaned while following him down the hall.

Back in the office the wolf leaned against Eliza’s desk and gathered enough of himself to look at her without seeming like a howling wolf cartoon. He couldn’t think of much small talk, and soon went back to helping her organize her things. When the other vampire brought a ladder the wolf nodded curtly. “Thanks.” He said before taking it from the man and setting it up below the leak. Within moments he was up on the ladder with a tool in hand, working diligently though he listened to what she said.

“Meeting?” He asked with his head up in the ceiling, only pulling out long enough to give her a funny look. “I didn’t know we were in business, Eliza.” The wolf spoke with a laugh and went back to work, twisting this and adjusting that (really I have no idea about plumbing so Arian could have been fixing things with rainbows and unicorn poop).

“You’ll have to let me buy you dinner to make it up to me – so long as you don’t stand me up again. Can you hand me that screw driver?”

[Only admins are allowed to see this image]Eliza avoided the wolves gaze though she could feel his one her. The outfit did little to cover her form it more like clung to her accenting her curves. She sensed France before she spoke, Eliza snapped her eyes to her, honestly why did she have to come and say that. Eliza couldn't turn any other color red without her head exploding. "Go away." she mouthed to her adopted fledgling. Using her foot she closed the door giving the two of them privacy. Which if she thought about it probably wasn't the best idea.

Niles looked over at France and smirked, taking a small golden key from his pocket she elegantly twisted it in the door effectively locking the two supernaturals inside. "Oops...it seems as if I lost the key to the door. Whatever will they do?" Niles the key into his pocket and turned to follow Francesca. Though he doubted his mistress would go as far as rutting with the wolf in her office but then again, he had been wrong before.

She didn't want to say date, dates were for couples, people who were together she and Arian were merely friends. Right? Though she wouldn't exactly be upset if the two of them did start something if there was something. "Well I didn't exactly want to say date since we're not...dating that is." Eliza idly messed with the tools in his bag, in all honesty she had no idea what most of them did except make strange noises and remind her of torture instruments. "Are we? I mean? Dating that is." Oh god had she really just asked him that? God in heaven she was an idiot. He had just offered to buy her dinner and she had just asked him the stupidest question to ever come out of her mouth. Without looking she grabbed a screwdriver from his bag and reached up to hand it to him keeping her gaze planted on the floor.

Most men would have been phased by the younger vampires watching Elizabetia and scrutinizing every move the two of them made, but Arian was far to lackadaisy to let it bother him. He simply smiled at the younger vampiress when she made her comment and laughed shortly after she left. It was a good distraction and eased his mind long enough to keep him from wolf howling at Eliza.

France grinned when Niles pulled out the key. “You’re a devil.” Her eyes beamed as she watched him lock the door, then she tapped her finger on her lip in thought. “Can you do that when I bring my gentleman over?” Ever the tease Francesca smirked at her comment, then leaned in to listen to the pair locked inside Eliza’s office.

Were they dating? Ari had only met Eliza twice, but already he felt he knew her. That was one perk of sharing a near death experience with someone (for both of them!). He mulled it over for a few seconds before resting his hand on the top of the ceiling tile and looking down at her. “No.” They weren’t dating. “That would require actual dates, and people going to said dates rather than swimming in their office.” He made a swimming gesture and a teasing expression toyed on his face. He wasn’t that upset about being stood up, he just wanted to give her shit for it.

The wolf took the screw driver from her and went back to work, only glancing down at her two or three times as he worked for the next few minutes. “Say a man would like to take you out sometime. What might he do to spark your interest, Miss. Elizabetia?” With his arms up inside the ceiling he glanced down at her then furrowed his brows when his hands hit something unexpected. “Can you come up here and hold this for me?”

[Only admins are allowed to see this image]" Did he just say no?" Niles asked looked at France with a wide eyed expression before pressing himself closer to the door. Had Arian just shot his mistress down? Oh this was definitely not how he had pictured this event to turn out.

No....he just said no...way to go Eliza you just made yourself look like a giant idiot. Eliza turned her face away and slapped her palm to her forehead. Of course they weren't dating, why would they be? Sure she saved his life, and yes he saved hers as well but that didn't mean they were together after a life altering moment. God she felt like the biggest idiot on the planet. She forced herself to laugh at his joke, they really hadn't gone on a date. The only one they had semi went on was ended by a giant hell hound taking a bite out of Arian and coffee dates weren't exactly huge either.

The vampire rocked on her heels at the bottom of the ladder, every now and again glancing up at the rather handsome backside of the wolf before looking away again. When he asked his question she giggled in her hand and cleared her throat. "Well for one he'd need to ask me, secondly he'd have to be handsome, I prefer blonds if you haven't noticed." she smirked playfully up at him. "And it's have to be somewhere special. I am a lady after all." She was laughing now, going from feeling like an idiot to feeling like a childish school girl was strange enough. But at least he made her feel better...and it would seem he did want to take her out on a date. If she had to clear up her entire schedule for it she would. She was always busy...perhaps it was time to take a break.

Eliza's brow furrowed slightly at his question, "Come up...there...oh...okay..." Carefully climbing the ladder she reached her hands inside the ceiling where the pipes were and wrapped her fingers around the object he wanted her to hold. Because she was shorter than him, she was standing on the tips of her toes to reach. The whole was dark and she had no idea what she was holding nor was she extremely comfortable being high off the ground on a ladder. "Like this?" she asked looking at Arian with a confused look. She was not use to things like this...hell she couldn't even fix simple things let alone pipes.

Let me in there.” Francesca growled quietly and reached for the door handle. How humiliating for her poor dear Eliza! She would think of something immediately to help pull her out of the room and away from that wretched wolf. But then he continued and France let up on the door handle… just a little bit.

It didn’t occur to Ari that his ‘no’ may have been hope crushing. He said no because they hadn’t been on dates. It was as simple as that, and he but a simple man. He smiled at her again a few times, oblivious to her dismay. “I would consider myself more of a goldenrod color…” The wolf cracked a smirk as he pulled himself up higher into the ceiling to see better. He could think of plenty special places, but none seemed befitting for Eliza.

Once she was up on the ladder with him he moved to the side slightly to make room for her. There was very little room, but he needed the extra set of hands and hers were smaller and easier to fit into the small place. The wolf did his best to not lean on her but wound up with the side of his hip leaning on her as he reached into the hole and started adjusting another pipe near her hands so his kept brushing hers. “Just hold it… like that… perfect.” As awkward as their position seemed Arian tried his best to stay professional and keep the babbling goon inside him at ease while she was so close to him.

“There,” He started and took her hands to guide them away from the fixed pipe. “We’re done.” With that he raised her hands up gently and feigned a kiss to them but kept his mouth just far enough away. “Now you can tell people you fixed your pipes yourself… Sorry to get your dainty hands dirty. Let me make it up to you.” The wolf let go of her to crawl down the ladder but was quick to hold up his hands to help her down. “Care to go to dinner with me, madamoiselle?”

[Only admins are allowed to see this image]Eliza wasn't use to doing things like this, not to mention to fact that she was pressed against Arian as he worked. She tried her best not to look at Arian, instead her dark eyes stared up into the whole. Every time he moved against her or touched her hands her body would tingle from the top of her head straight down to her toes. Oh good lord what was this wolf doing to her. She couldn't even remember Sebastian making her feel this way. Then again she had been so young when met him that she had never felt real affection for anyone else. Perhaps she had simply settled for Sebastian...and Arian was actually making her feel.

Arian took her hands out of the hole and hovered his lips over the. For once she didn't care about the dirt that stained her fingers for her eyes were locked on the wolves lips that were just a breath away from her hands. However he never kissed her hands instead he walked down the steps of the ladder and turned back to her holding his arms up to help her down. His next question made her smile brightly, leaning foward her placed her hands on the wolves shoulders and leaned into his hands to help her down. His fingers felt warm on her sides. "Donc, vous parlez français aussi? (You speak French as well?)" She held onto his shoulders even as she was set on her feet. Stepping on the tips of her toes she kissed his cheek softly. "I would be honored to go to dinner with you, monsieur."

“Assez pour s'en sortir” Enough to get by. There were quite a few languages Arian was fluent in that he never really let on. “Among the many things that I know half heartedly.” He was a jack of all trades and that included knowing too many languages to keep them straight.

After the wolf climbed down the ladder and helped Eliza down his face lit up. They would go to dinner… but where? Where could he take her to court her properly? What did vampires like? In all his life Arian had never really courted a woman. Sure he had dated them, had one night stands, women who lasted for months, etc. but never a woman as elegant as Eliza. Yet it didn’t intimidate him. There wasn’t much that could ruffle the old wolf’s fur, it just made him quixotically about where to take her.

“I’ll have to bother your butler and France to see what you like best.” He teased and began putting his tools away in the box. “Your pipes should be good, unless someone breaks them again.” He smirked. “So does that mean you’re free for the evening?”

[Only admins are allowed to see this image]This day was turning around in a very good way. The only thing that could make it better is if she got to play horizontal limbo with the wolf boy. But that would be for much much later. When she saw Arian's face light up something inside her did somersaults. The only dates she had been on was with Sebastian and those often ended in blood screaming and...naughty moment. But the thought of Arian and a date brought about a new type of feeling. One she hadn't felt before. "I"m very easy to please believe it or not." she said stepping away from him.

Niles smiled to France and looked at the maid she curtsied beside him, "I have clothing for the mistress." Nodding his head Niles easily slipped the key into the lock and flipped it open. The maid walked in gaining the attention of Elizabetia who leaned against her desk. "Your clothing is ready mistress." Smiling Eliza excused herself and lead the maid towards her room. Niles easily slipped in and bowed slightly at the waist at Arian. "It would seem that Lady Francesca was wrong about you. You're very good at what you do and Mistress Elizabetia is pleased. I haven't seen her smile so wide in a long time."

Reaching into his pocket he withdrew a checkbook and signed a check before handing it over to Arian. "I'm glad you bring her happiness however, if you hurt her I will make you wish you had never been born." Smiling he tucked the check in Arian's pocket and stepped aside. "Is there anything else I can help you with sir?"

It may not have been easy to rouse the old wolf but something about Eliza stirred him. He smiled and avoided letting it be a smirk when she said she was easy to please, and managed to keep up a gentlemanly façade. His mind still mulled over where he would take her but he had an idea. Before he had much more time to think he heard the key in the door and perked up, looking to the maid as she entered the room. It was strange to him to see butlers and maids and… whatever France was. Was she a servant too? No, she had a stick up her ass too far to be a servant.

After Eliza left he watched her leave, his eyes interested like a lovestruck boy. The expression quickly dropped when he looked to Francesca leaning in the doorway and Niles approaching him. He cleared his throat and shut his toolbox. “I’m happy to see her smile.” It shouldn’t have been just because of him. She shouldn’t have denied the world that smile.

What exactly do you do, hillbilly?” Oops, did she say that out loud? France watched the wolf from the doorway and crinkled her nose a bit as she glanced up to the fixed pipe. As Niles stuffed the check in Arian’s pocket he became distracted and ignored the other vampire. “I can’t—“ He started off, but assumed that it would be no use arguing with the butler. He would just rip up the check later.

An idea finally sparked in the wolf’s mind as to what he should do for Eliza, and he grabbed his toolbox. “I won’t hurt her.” The threat ran off his shoulders as if it were nothing, but he took it to heart. “Will you tell her to dress in costume? I’ll be back soon.” He squeezed passed Francesca in the doorway (who didn’t move to make it any easier on him) but stopped long enough to put his dirty hand on her shoulder. “I’ll see you later, kid.” With that the wolf left with his mark on France and headed home to change in costume. The uppity vampire sneered and made a face along with a groan at her now dirty clothing and lurched after the wolf to make sure the door was shut properly on his way out.

[Only admins are allowed to see this image]Eliza came out of her room a few moments later in her normal dress attire, elegant but business like. Walking back to her office she noticed Arian was gone. Perhaps he had other things to do for the day. Niles stopped beside her and smiled to himself. "Master Arian requests that you wear a "costume"." Niles hid his laugh behind his hand while his old eyes looked at the greasy stain on Francesca's shirt. He was liking this wolf more and more everytime he saw him.

Eliza's brows furrowed slightly. Costume? She didn't own a costume. She wasn't exactly big on Halloween. Children dressing up as monsters for candy it was preposterous and bad for their health. Not to mention they actually offend most of the creatures that they portray. No Eliza didn't have costumes. Eliza looked up at Francesca and did a double take, "Francesca dear you have a smudge on your shirt. Have Niles clean it for you." The old butler chuckled again and looked at his mistress. "If I may Mistress, why not, for humor sake, go as a human. After all humans pretend to be us for one night...why don't you pretend to be human. I'm sure master Arian will find it very amusing."

Eliza nodded her head slightly and thought over Niles' idea. "Brilliant Niles...you're a life savor." Patting the butler softly on the shoulder she made her way to her room and began to dig through her clothing. Ah yes, this would be an interesting night for sure. Hopefully Arian would like the outfit she chose.

What the hell was he thinking? Sure, Ari had wanted to dress up and be a fool but not around Elizabetia of all people. What the hell was wrong with him? Sometimes the wolf wanted to kick himself in the ass for the foolish things he did, but then he collected himself and let it roll off his shoulders. At the age of a thousand years (maybe more, maybe less – who knew) things that ruffled his feathers or embarrassed him rolled away quickly. So he continued home with an idea in mind how he would dress.

Back at the Romanov mansion Francesca smoldered. She made a face when looking to where Arian had touched and scoffed. “Dirty dog.” She growled the words to Niles and sauntered passed Eliza to go chance. “If he sleeps with you make sure he sleeps at the foot bed like a proper hound.” The vampire teased with a smirk on her face, miraculously in a good mood even after he scuffed her clothes.

Around half an hour later the Viking showed up. Literally… the Viking. Arian showed up dressed head to toe as a Viking (though a more authentic Viking than most costumes). His helmet was left in the truck and he cleared his throat as he knocked at the door. Within seconds, as if waiting, Francesca opened up to see Arian Sutherland standing in his Viking costume and bit her lip so as not to laugh. Instead she leaned one hand on the door and popped her hip to the side a little. “We don’t have a village for you to burn, but we have plenty of women for you to pillage.”

How was it that this woman and Eliza stayed in the same house? Arian cracked and let himself smirk just long enough before he looked passed France. “Is she ready?”

[Only admins are allowed to see this image]Eliza had spent a lot of time picking out her outfit. Eliza had several old gowns in her closet that she could go as anyone in history really but she wanted something different. Something that she would never ever dress as other than Halloween. So, she dug in her drawers until she found what she was looking for. Yes, Arian would like it.

Downstairs, Niles peaked through France's arm at Arian and nodded his head slowly. Yes, the wolf made a fine Viking, a proud and glorious race of men they were even if they did pillage and murder. They had some form of honor no matter how small it was. "Do come in Master Arian, Mistress Elizabetia shall be down momentarily." Niles grabbed France's arm softly and pulled her to the side to allow the wolf access into the manor. Niles had a pretty good idea as to what Eliza would come down the stairs as. It was the first time in a long time she had gone out and the way Arian was dressed would most likely give Eliza a good laugh.

As if on cue, Eliza came waltzing around the corner and hoped down the stairs. Clad in a pair of tight blue jeans, a pair of black and white converse, and a black and blue wife beater. Her hair was pulled in pony tail and bobbed back and forth as she jumped down the stairs. She held a leather jacket in her arms while she stuffered her wallet in her back pocket. "Niles, is Arian here yet?" she asked looking up.

Smiling the butler stepped to the side and bowed. "He just arrived madam." Stopping in front of him and tucked her hands in her pockets, her leather jacket laying across on of her arms. "Well, don't you look handsome. Are you going to be my strong Viking body guard for that night?" she giggled softly and spun in a circle, "I figured that since humans dress up like vampires, I would dress up as a human. I feel like one of those airbrain teenagers."

Most men would have laughed or have been embarrassed but Ari was a man to let things roll off his shoulders. He slid passed France at the front door as she smirked and looked him over blatantly, ignoring Niles at her side. She wanted to gawk at Eliza dressed down and… and… The vampire couldn’t even think of the words to describe her. The thirteen-year-old girl and the Viking. “Precious. Can we take a photo of you two?” The vampire asked, keeping a straight face.

Arian managed to ignore the comments of the other two vampires as he watched Eliza bounce down the stairs. He smiled and offered his arm out for her to hold in a gentlemanly manner. “Yes.” He would be her body guard for the night, and every other night it seemed they were together. “What’s new?” The wolf teased with a smirk. He would always protect her.

“It’s a clever costume. I like it.” Did he need to describe his? It was fairly obvious, and the old Viking wasn’t one of many words. “Shall we go?” He gestured to the door as France grabbed Niles’ arm like a mother watching her child go off to prom.

[Only admins are allowed to see this image]Elizabetia would be lying if she said seeing Arian dressed as a Viking wasn't a major turn on. It made her remember the days of old when men fought for honor and glory. When the thought of battle turned men into hulking brutes and handsome saviors. Eliza had always had a thing for warriors. They were something that noblewomen were to stay away from but she couldn't help but find them so ...yummy. Yes, that would be the word used to describe them in Elizabetia's terms. Like forbidden fruit. They always tasted the sweetest.

The look on Francesca's face was priceless to Elizabetia. She highly doubted Francesca had seen her in anything like this. Fashion was a big thing to Eliza she was even surprised she owned a pair of blue jeans let alone a wife beater. It must have been something Niles put in her drawer at one time or another. The shoes were very comfortable for such unattractive things. But it was Halloween and she would have fun and pretend to be something she never was. Slipping the jacket over her shoulders she zipped it to under her breast and slid her arm under Arians. Flashing him one of her million dollar smiles. Shrugging her shoulder she took out her phone and handed it to Francesca. "One photo wont hurt anything."

The photo would also be a reminder of what Arian looked like in armor. Leaning her head on Arian's shoulder she smiled and waited for the flash to go off. She had a feeling that when she returned from her date with Arian Francesca would ask for all the details not to mention make fun of her for dressing in such a way. Taking her phone back from her adopted fledgling she stuffed it in her back pocket and turned to the door. "Yes, lets." She gave a small wave to Niles and France and exited her home with her Viking in tow.

Niles smiled and patted France's hand softly and closed the door behind the two supernaturals that left. "They'll be fine Francesca. Come let's go have a nice cup of tea and make some cookies while we wait for them to return home." Niles of course was worried for his mistress but he was more happy for you. It had been a long time since he had seen that smile that it warmed his heart to have it once again. For now he would leave them alone and later he would track her phone to make sure she was safe. For safety purposes of course.

“I don’t want to make cookies, Niles. I want to go with them.” Leaving Francesca at home while Eliza went on a date was like leaving a child while their single mother went out on a date. She wanted to plot Ari’s demise and a way to make him avoid coming back, but at the same time she enjoyed seeing Eliza so happy. Even if it meant having her dress like a teenager.

The drive to the haunted house was a quick one, only because Eliza was so easy to talk to. The silences between them were comfortable and the wolf felt at ease around the vampire. How strange was that? By the time they were at the Haunted House there were plenty of other’s there. Vampire’s left and right, and fake furry werewolves amongst the monsters and ghouls. “Do you think any of them are brave enough to face what they’re dressed up as?” The comment was a cranky old man one at best, but little did he know what was in store for all of them.

Once outside the truck he opened the door for Eliza, a rare show of chivalry by the wolf. He laughed at a few of the costumes and grabbed at Eliza’s side’s when she wasn’t looking to startle her. He growled then smirked as they walked inside, offering her his arm to hold. “Do you scare easily, Ms. Romanov?”

[Only admins are allowed to see this image]Niles lead Francesca into the kitchen and sat her down on one of the barstools. He knew how protective of Eliza she was, just as much as he was protective of her if not more. Eliza was very dear to them and he would lay down his life for her, but it was time for them to let her go off without worrying about her. She was in good hands.

Eliza happily chatted with her wolf companion on the ride of the Haunted House. It was an annual thing the town had that drew in a lot of people. Eliza herself had never gone mainly because she never had time and no one to go with but now that she had Arian she was sure she would enjoy herself. It not for the fact that she got to stare at Arian's perfectly toned body under all that armor. As they arrived Eliza looked at all the people dressed in mock vampire/werewolf attire. If only they knew what it was like, they looked nothing like that. Stupid movies. "I highly doubt it humans are cowards. They pretend to be brave but the moment when danger comes they high tail it out of there."

Eliza went to open her door when Arian beat her to it and opened the door for her. Sliding out of the old pick up she shoved her hands into her pockets and gave a small curtsy. "My thanks good sir." she said sweetly looking at the massive old house that stood in front of them. The vampire shivered slightly from the sight. There was something magical about the house, and Eliza didn't do well with magic. She felt a small pinch on her side, giggling loudly she moved away from his hand and smiled up at him swatting at his arm playfully. "I've been alive too long to be scared easily. But I am very tickilish."

Wrapping her arm around his again they marched up the steps of the house. Eliza shivered again as a pulse of magic swept over them. If only they knew what would await them once they came back out.
