The fire crackled loudly in it's pit. A small animal rested on a spit above the dancing flames. The sound of stone on steel echoed in the autumn night. To the right of the fire sat a woman clothed in a pair of dark jeans, black riding boots that came half way up her legs and a white tank top sat against a fallen log. A wide aray of daggers and knives lay beside her on a light brown kit. The assassin tilted her dagger slightly to the light and ran her finger along the side of sharpened blade to make sure it was to perfection. The hell hound situation had been taken care of easily enough. She thought it would have been more of a challenge but it would seem they were nothing more than oversize mutts.

Katerina was doing her best to keep her mind occupied, for when she had nothing to do she tended to drift into thoughts and thoughts lead to memories. Even as she ran the whetstone over the flawless silver blade her mind drifted away. "Mamma..." Katerina's soft blue eyes looked up at the tree line in front of her. Of course there was nothing there, there never was. Just the ghostly voice of her children calling to her. "Knock it off Xeira. I'm not in the mood." the woman said to herself stabbing her knife into the ground and turning her meal over the spit.

The demon within the recesses of her mind made a disapproving hissing sound and curled up in it's dark hole. The demon hated being bored and in the past whenever she was bored Xeira was able to take control and do what she wished but now Katerina had gained better control over her body and knew how to keep her at bay. That...and though the demon hated to admit it she respected Katerina...slightly. Not that she would ever tell anyone. But that didn't mean that she wasn't going to mess with her every now and again.

"I'll let you out later...now isn't the best time." Katerina and the Dean didn't see eye to eye at all. Katerina didn't listen to her because she wasn't there to work for the Dean she was there on orders from the CIA. So while she listened to what the Dean said she didn't follow her orders. Obviously Evelyn wasn't use to people not listening to her. Katerina slept in the forest outside the school, she preferred nature compared to homes or apartments. The world was so disconnected from it's roots; she refused to do so. "Momma..."

"Xeira enough damn it!" the Irish woman said loudly startling a few of the nocturnal creatures from their nightly routines. She felt the demon shift in her mind and growl, "Not me..." the demon said in a low tone. "Not alone..." Katerina rose to her feet slowly and drew the dagger from her hip, spinning it in the palm of her hand. "Looks like I wont get the night off."

Saskia had arrived at the school not long ago, but being in a new area had brought about some ticks that she had thought were long since forgotten, but sadly they were not. After falling asleep in her new dorm room, Saskia found herself awake in the middle of the wood wearing her [Only admins are allowed to see this link] She looked around to try and get an idea of where the hell she had ended up and why she was even out here to begin with. "Fucking A." She cursed to herself as she crossed her arms over her chest and rubbed her hands over her arms trying to warm herself up.

The human didn't know how far into the woods that she had gone, or even how to get back. Sadly her memory didn't work if she was dead asleep when she had started walking. A sigh escaped her lips as she looked around for any indication of civilization in either direction. Finally she just dropped her arms to her side and picked a direction and started walking. She should have explored the area more over the last few days but instead she had spent all her time in her room working on her computer.

As she was walking she used her hands as a sort of guide, it was hard to see out here with the moon light being blocked by all the trees. She bumped into a tree a time or two before she saw some form or light in the distance. She breathed a sigh of relief thank god there was some hope for civilization not far from here. The blonde hoped that it was like a house or something but as she got closer she noticed that it was flames in the distance. Crap, now she wasn't sure if she wanted to even get closer because it could have been like a werewolf or something of that nature. Last thing she wanted right now was to run across one of them, but seeing as a fire meant something warm she continued on her path.

The girl heard a voice as she got closer and looked around, wondering if it was a spirit trying to guide her or something else. It was something or rather someone else, which she assumed was from whoever was the owner of the fire. "Hello?" She called out calmly as she waited to break the barrier between forest and the camp site.

Katerina knew no one knew she was out here and no one was stupid enough to wander into these woods at night. There were a lot more dangerous things that lurked in this forest than her. Xeira hissed angrily through Katerina's mouth, her eyes dilating quickly signaling her near transformation. Before she could shift however, a voice rang out through the bushes. Narrowing her eyes she stepped forward and roughly moved the bush away to stare at the blond female in front of her. Glaring at Saskia, Katerina grabbed her arm tightly and pulled her into the make shift camp.

Once in the light Katerina looked her over, walking around her in a circle Katerina tossed her dagger back and forth between her hand effectively catching the blade between two fingers before tossing it back to the hilt. "Students are not allowed outside o' school grounds after dark lassie. Care to explain yerself." Katerina's thick Irish accent was more noticeable when she was tired. She had been keeping Xeira at bay all day and her strength was waning even now the demon pushed at her cage wanting nothing more than to spill the poor girls blood and devour her soul.

"Speak up lass, my patience is growin' thin." Stopping in front of her Katerina stood tall, her eyes were still dilated giving her eyes an endless abyss appearance. One could get lost in them if they stared into them enough. Technically Katerina wasn't a member of the school but that didn't mean she couldn't enforce it's laws. She had half a mind to drag the girl to the Dean and let the vampire deal with her.

Saskia gasped as the bushes in front of her opened up and was grabbed by a woman before she could even say anything. The blonde stumbled as she was dragged out into the makeshift camp, and nearly fell but was able to regain her balance before that happened. Saskia wasn't even really given a chance to comprehend what was going on before the woman was walking circles around her. Geezus Christ this was not what she had expected to have happened out here it was hard to imagine it was all real, but the pain she felt in her arm told the girl it was.

"I...I..I." She tired to speak but was having a hard time the ear sort of took over as she tried to clear her mind enough as she felt her chest tighten, finding it hard to breath. she hated when something scared her, if only because it often took the breath from her literally.

The human made a gasping sound as she tried to get her breath, but couldn't seem to find it. She ended up dropping to her knees as she brought a hand up to her chest and tried to hit her chest hard enough that she could breath again. Freaking ticks, it was horrible because it wasn't always in the best of situations that this happened, especially when a dagger was being tossed around.

Finally, Saskia managed to hit her chest hard enough that she took in a deep breath before coughing as she found her ability to breath again. She took in a few more breaths before she was able to talk again and she looked up to the woman, Saskia was shaking but it was more out of cold then anything "I... have Tourette's, I sometimes wake up in places I shouldn't." She replied to the woman finally as her hand rubbed at her chest to sooth the pain from smacking it.

Katerina's eyes shifted from normal to near transformation. Xeira wanted the girl dead, Katerina didn't know why there was nothing really special about the girl especially since she was on the ground beating herself in the chest. Katerina knew she was frightening but never enough to make someone have a heart attack. Out...out...want out! Xeira clawed angrily at her cage trying to escape.

Her nails had already begun to change into Xeira black dagger like nails and her eyes were almost pitch black. "No Xeira...we don't need to kill her...yet." Katerina didn't trust anyone, well...almost anyone. She trusted Khalid but only because they were military partners and they shared a bond like siblings. But other than Khalid...she didn't trust anyone as far as she could throw them.

"I don't care what you have. If you sleep walk you should be in a hospital somewhere. It's not safe for students to be wandering the forests at night." her knuckles were turning white from the grip she had on the dagger blade. Xeira did not like this girl, at all. The only real question was why?

Any little thing that ever startled Saskia was enough to take the breath right out of her, and that was something that the girl hated. Now her chest hurt from having to hit it so hard that she could breath again, she couldn't wait for that to be a thing of the past.

Though, it would seem that Saskia had a more pressing matter at hand, because when she looked up she saw something different about the woman before her. There was a darkness in her, not just in the eyes or the hands, something deeper then that. Saskia squinted a bit as a sea of ghosts seemed to surround the woman. Great, not only had she ended up in a forest she didn't know but now she was there with someone who was a killer... just what she needed.

"Gee, I never thought of that, next time I will just have to stop myself... oh wait that's right I can't." She rolled her eyes, because that was what Tourette's was, doing things out of her control. What she wouldn't give to have that kind of control back in her life then maybe she wouldn't be stuck out here with a psychopath.

Geezus christ it was cold out here, so Saskia used her arms to try and warm herself up but it was a failing attempt seeing as her arms and legs were without protection. "But if you want to point me in the way of the school, I'd be happy to go back." She spoke as she shivered, what she wouldn't give for her warm blankets again.

Something was off about this girl. The way Xeira was basically clawing her way out of her body was enough to suggest that there was more to Saskia than met the eye. Part of Katerina wanted to help her but at teh same time she wanted to stay very far away. Katerina didn't like things she didn't understand or that Xeira wanted to eat. The often lead to more problems than good.

When the girl finally spoke Katerina grit her teeth to keep from snapping at the girl. How dare she speak to her in such a way. "Watch yourself lassie, I donna trust you an' I donna like you so watch that tongue o' yers." A feral growl made its way out of her lips against her will. Groaning she stood up slowly and braced her hand on the tree behind her. This wasn't good. Biting her bottom lip she turned away from Saskia and took in several deep breaths. "Tha' way." she said in deep breaths pointing to her right. There was a small path that lead towards the school and away from Katerina.

Katerina's spine cracked loudly causing her to hunch over and let out a gasp. Biting down on her lip she forced herself up again when she tasted the bitter sweet taste of blood. "Go now lassie...." she said in a deep tone digging her ever growing nails into the bark of the tree. Please...go now. she didn't know how much longer she could keep Xeira back. But when she came out...it wouldn't end well.

Saskia would really have to get these people a guide or something when it came to dealing with someone who had Tourette's. It was a common enough disease right now that they should at least know that the blonde couldn't always control what she did or said, but it seemed as though this woman didn't care. "Trust me, you're not the first person to tell me that." She replied with a smile, because of her little medium side she got a lot of threats, but most of them from harmless ghosts.

'Miss... miss I would... I would run if I was you...' a little child stood beside the woman and pointed to her hands. As Saskia looked back to the woman before her, she saw the woman's inner beast. "Son of a bitch." She spoke out as she started to back away. Why? Why did she always have to find the crazy fuckers that wanted to eat her alive? Seriously, Saskia could never find a vampire that would change her or even a wolf, but she managed to find the ones that liked to eat humans.

"I'm just gunna..." She pointed in the direction of the school and once she heard that pop, Saskia took off like a cross country runner. 'Shit shit shit shit shit' Ran through the blonde's head. She had to remind herself to stay calm because if she freaked out her chest would lock up again. Still it was kind of hard not to freak out, when she was running through a forest with a thing coming after her.

"No..not now." She felt a familiar pressure in her chest that caused her to stumble a bit but she forced herself to keep running as the pressure in chest continued to build, and it became harder and harder to breath.

The girl took off in a mad dash towards the school and Xeira fought harder to escape her prision. Katerina crumbled to the ground, the wood of the tree splintered around her talons. Letting out a strangled groan she began to chant softly in Hindu. It was a relaxation prayer that normally kept the demon inside of her at bay but not tonight. No, Xeira wanted the girls soul. Now. Looking over her shoulder she silently hoped the girl was a good runner before darkness over took her and Xeira's form took over her body.

The demon uncurled itself from the ground, it's massive spiked tail waving back and forth behind her in a slow snake like motion. It towered at a startling six feet and was as dark as night. Tilting it's head slightly it's neck popped loudly earning a satisfied groan from the creature. It had been too long since she was out into the world. Ever since Katerina had taken the job at the school she kept her put away for safety reasons. It wasn't until they arrived at the school that Xeira understood why. There was supernatural creatures everywhere. It was like an all you can eat buffet for the masses.

Turning slowly, Xeira opened her massive jaw, and allowed the tinier mouth inside to peak out, it inhaled the scent around them. It was delicious the scent of fear. Letting out a feral scream the demon leapt up into the trees and silently followed after Saskia, it wasn't hard to follow the girl. She left a trail a mile long in her mad dash to escape. Oh the fun of stalking ones prey. "Xeira...don't hurt her!" Katerina cried inside Xeira's mind. But the demon ignored her, she had gone far to long without a decent meal and it was about time she had her fill.

Soon the golden haired girl came in sight, she was starting to go into another episode. With a firm leap off of the branch Xeira landed gracefully in front of Saskia and let out a high pitched scream. Yes, dinner was served.

Saskia had been through this once or twice in the past, a stupid fae would find out what Saskia could do and wanted her as a pet, though they would back off once the girl revealed a secret they didn't want anyone to know. It was something that Saskia would usually look for in the spirits... a weakness... something that would make them back off but this thing just seemed to have bodies. "What fucking good are you guys if you can't help." She spoke as she was running.

Once the pain in her chest started to be to much though Saskia slowed down, and it was a good thing that she did or she would have ran straight into the creature when it landed before her. Instead she was able to stop, of course she fell backwards but she stopped.

She was having a really hard time with her breathing at this point, her hand moving to her chest trying hard to hit it, but she wasn't strong enough to make this one go away easily. 'The child.... mention the son of the human...' she heard from a ghost, finally something she could use.

"You...your.. s..s..son...i..is.. a..al..alive." She could barely talk at this point as her chest all but locked up completely not letting anymore air in her lungs. Her lips were even starting to turn blue but the blonde was hoping that the human side of this thing would be able to give her a chance to slip by, if only she could unlock her chest again then she could actually get away, she was a decent runner.

Xeira hissed loudly and took a step forward her massive legs pushing deep into the earth. The girl on the ground was enough to make the demon's mouth water. Oh yes, this would be a wonderful meal. Opening her mouth wide, Xeira's crystal teeth glistened in the moonlight. Her spear like tail raised high in the air and shot forward. However, when the human female spoke Xeira haulted her attack. The tip of her tail hovered right above Saskia's nose. "You lie." Katerina said loudly in Saskia's mind. There was no way her son was alive she had buried him along with his sister next to their father more than five hundred years ago.

Xeira hissed again and removed her tail from in front of Saskia. Katerina had a tight grip on Xeira now. With the mentioning of her son the woman's strength returned ten fold. But it didn't matter soon enough she would grow weak again and then this human's soul would be hers. Xeira stepped forward and hit the girl hard on the chest, careful not to break any bones even if she really wanted to. To see this girl in pain would really make Xeira's day. "My son is dead. 'as been for over five 'undred years."

Katerina wanted to believe it, that her son was alive. It was possible for him to be reincarnated. Though they were devout Catholics back in those times so to believe such a thing would damn them for eternity. Xeira stood in silence, deadly still almost blending into the darkrness of the forest. "Want her soul...now...she lies. Kill her." the demon cooed to Katerina trying to fuil her anger if only enough to kill the girl.

Saskia was starting to feel very light headed as she tried to take in any oxygen that she could take in but there was none and she simply didn't have the strength to hit her chest hard enough. Though it did seem that the ghost had come through, because the creature hit Saskia square in the chest hard enough that the girl took in a deep breath as she fell back.

Her heart was racing as she took in a few more deep breaths, enjoying the fact that she could actually breath at this point. She would have thanked the demon but she had more pressing matters to attend to at this point. "He's alive." She spoke as she laid there taking in much needed oxygen her color was even coming back. "He...was born with a gift." Saskia added, all of this being told to her by the spirits around them. "He's been reincarnated." Her sentences were short cause she was still trying to recover from her last episode.

She did manage to sit up and look to the demon, sure it was intimidating looking, that creature that wanted her soul, but lets face it, when one saw ghosts, creatures like this looked more like a stage prop. "He is human now." She spoke as she pushed up onto her feet, no sense in being a easy meal if she could breath now.

"He's here at the school, I can give you the name, but you have to put that thing away." She spoke as she crossed her arms over her chest, with a serious look upon her face. Ya, Saskia was a stubborn one at times that was for sure.

Xeira huffed angrily and began to pace her tail hitting the ground angrily. Katerina was pushing for her to return thought the demon didn't want to. No she wanted her supper. As Saskia spoke her insult Xeira rushed forward her mouth inches away from Saskia's face as she let out a feral screech she was not a thing she was a demon! A powerful demon who ate children like her for breakfast! How dare she speak so rudely to her!

Katerina pushed herself forward forcing the shift between her and Xeira before the demon was able to impale Saskia with her tale. The loud snapping of bones and the sickening sound of ripping flesh came from the now present Katerina. Popping her neck she lifted her arms high above her head and stared at Saskia. She didn't trust the girl, but curiousty was getting the better of her. Katerina knew that magic ran in her family it had skipped her generation and passed to her children, however, they never grew into their magic as they were killed before they gained their powers.

"Give me 'is name lass. But just know...if you're lyin' to me. I will find you...and I will kill you. Xeira will 'ave a nice chew toy by the time I'm finished with ya." Katerina was as serious as ever. No one lied to her and lived to tell about it especially when it came to her children. If Michel was alive...or reincarnated she would find him. He would be a grown man now and probably looked just like his father. The thought brought a half smile to her face. Snatching her up by the arm she dragged her down the path walking briskilly towards the school grounds. "I'll be tellin' the Dean about yer sleep walkin'. 'ave some witch put a spell on ya or somethin' to keep ya out o' trouble." she stopped on the edge of the school grounds and pushed Saskia forward before tapping on the invisible barrier surrounding the school. "Xeira still want yer soul...so I canna pass till the mornin'. I will check out this name gurl. Tis then go get some sleep....you'll be needed in."

Saskia was more prepared for the demon this time, so it didn't scare her when the beast came roaring forward and screaming in the girl's face. The blonde simply brought a hand up and brushed some of the spit from her face, and titled her head lightly with a look of 'really?' on her face. Saskia knew that she was playing a dangerous game here, but she would rather die at the hands of some beast then have her chest lock up on her again.

"His birth name was Michael, but his name now is Ezekiel." If Saskia did anything it was keep her word when it came to telling her what the spirits would tell the medium. It was one of those things that kept the blonde alive all these years, it was also what stopped some of the vampires from changing her. They wanted to know more about those who had passed on, and didn't want to risk losing that connection which was a shitting thing for Saskia, but whatever hopefully that would change.

"Ow, Jesus christ you could have just asked me to walk." She spoke as she was snatched up and pretty much dragged a couple of steps before the blonde caught her footing and was able to keep up. "You can tell the dean all you want, but it's not going to help." She added because she had tried all of that, potions, pills, hell even the paralyzing pills didn't stop Saskia from walking around so good luck with that.

As she was shoved, stumbled a couple of steps, but managed not to fall over. "Well if Xeira wants it that badly, she could have it, for a price. I should warn you though, that if you do kill me you will have one pissed off dean on your hands, I'm her granddaughter, with a lot of fucking greats before it but still family none the less." The blonde told the woman with a cold stare, clearly the blonde was not as scared of the woman as she had been moments before.

"Though, if you tell her when you tell on me. I'll make your life and the life of you reincarnated son a living hell. That's a promise not a threat, but you have a nice night now." She gave the woman a smile and turned to walk towards her dorm room. Knowing that the woman couldn't make it through the barrier just made Saskia a little bit more cocky if anything and as she walked away a smirk appeared on her lips. Just more ammo for later.

Katerina honestly didn't know how to react to the news. For over five hundred years she constantly relived that night. A million times she replayed the events imagining what she would have done differently if she could. How she would have stayed up to protect her children instead of heading to bed early that night, how she would have kept them in her room as she had wanted to no matter how much they complained that they were old enough to sleep on their own. Now she had the chance to see her son once again. But it wasn't her son, it was some one elses son that just happened to look like it. Or what would look like him if he had indeed lived long enough to grow into a man.

Katerina ignored the girl's complaining as she let different things pass in her mind. Xeira still growled angrily inside her mind, she was very pissed off that she had been denied her dinner. Her little comment made the demon perk up, so she was willing to sell her soul for a price. Oh she liked that, sure it wasn't as fun as killing the girl and taking it herself but Saskia had a strong soul full of power that Katerina could absorb and use. Katerina smiled slightly though she was quite livid that the girl was stupid enough to threaten her or her son. So she was Evelyn's granddaughter but the Dean didn't know. There must be a reason as to why the girl had yet to announce herself to the Dean.

Running her hand over her chin she chuckled, she had just as much ammo on the girl as Saskia did on her. She obviously didn't want Evelyn to know, so if she did indeed fuck with her son she would have two choices. One she could tell the Dean though she highly doubted the woman would care especially since her granddaughter was a foul mouthed conniving little trollop or two, she could just gut the girl like a fish and let that be it. Evelyn wouldn't know the girl was her granddaughter and she'd have one less human to deal with in the world. "Good night dearie..." Her voice had a haunting tone to it. Oh yes, she would keep an eye on Saskia for now. She underestimated her, she was an assassin first and formost. Threats did not come cheap if the time came, Katerina hoped the girl had the balls to finish what she started.

Turning sharpily she disappeared into the darkness of the night back to her camp to make preparations on meeting her son once again. His name was Ezekiel not many had that name so it would easy to find him. Katerina would keep her distance at first, and then when the time was right she would speak to him.

Zek had been given a list of things that needed to be done around the school, which only seemed to get longer but that was okay. That was okay though because it kept him busy, and busy was always a good thing or him.

Today he was working on a shed out by the forest edge. The dean was talking about hiring a group of people but he assured her that he could easily do the task on his own. It wasn't like a house or a barn it was a shed which was easy enough on his own.

Over his shoulder were long pre-cut boards to be used to make the frame of the shed. He had the school [Only admins are allowed to see this link] full of timber that he was going to use for the shed.

He laid out all the boards in correlation with which side it would go on the shed. He had a nice layout going and once he was finished with that he walked over and the truck and grabbed his tool belt and began to construct the frame.

Katerina hadn't slept a wink since the news of her son's reincarnation. She didn't know if she could even if she wanted too. Too many questions, to many unknown answers. Of course she could just go find him, (which she would) but then what? What would she say? She would look a little stupid just walking up to him and staring at him like a moron.

When the sun broke over the horizon Katerina was up, dressed and ready to go. Doned in a pair of tight blue jeans, a pair of black boots and a white wife beater Katerina headed out of her little camp and into the busy morning of the school life. Students walked to and fro not even passing her a glance. Not that she needed it and or wanted it. Her eyes were focused on finding one person and one person alone. A young man named Ezekiel.

She didn't have to search long, just as she made it half way across the school a familiar scent drifted to her nose making her stop dead in her tracks and close her eyes. Images of her past life danced behind her lids making her lips draw up into a thin line. Snapping her eyes open she walked down the small stone path leading to the forest's edge and it was there that she saw him. The sight of her son cause Katerina to stop in her tracks and use the side of the building to keep her balanced. Her world was spinning. Katerina had seen a great many things in her life time, things that would make your hair turn white that she didn't even bat an eye lash at but here standing before her was her son.

Granted it was an adult version but he looked like the spitting image of his father and for the first time in over five centuries, Katerina felt human again. If only for a moment.

Zek continued his work on constructing the frame for the shed and managed to get the side constructed relatively quickly, then again this was something he was used to doing. It also helped that he had laid everything out and just needed to hammer in the nails and it was done.

With the first side of the frame done, he tested the weight of it and stood it up, it wouldn't be hard at all for him to finish this up in a day or two at this rate and weight for that matter.

Carefully the man eased the frame down and then walked over to the truck and grabbed his bottle of water, that was when he noticed someone standing off in a distance. He didn't think much of it, since he got here a lot of people liked to stare at him he simply got a drink of his water and went back to work constructing the frame for the shed.

He got started on the two smaller parts of the frame that way he could get it standing and then tack on the last side once it was done. It would be the roof that was the hardest part, but with the truck here he knew he could just make a rig if he had too.

Reaching into the pocket of his tool belt, he began pulling out nails once again and focused on getting the frame done in a timely manner.

Katerina continued to stare, what was she doing? This was stupid, she had no business being around him. Well, yes he was her son or the reincarnation of her son but still. Being around him was dangerous and it wasn't like he would even know who the hell she was or even care. He obviously had a life, and he didn't need a demon assassin to mess that up. But when he caught her eye, her heart stopped in her chest and her maternal instincts kicked in instantly.

Making her way down the path towards the shed he was making she examined his handy work and smiled. He was very good, just like his father had been before him. Her hand gently ran over the soft wood with a smile. "It's dangerous out 'ere alone laddie. Where's yer back up?" she asked her Irish accent becoming thick with her swell of emotions. At least she hadn't haulled ass and ran like her mind had told her too. She was here and she was talking to him that was enough for now.

Zek was focused in on his work that he didn't even notice that someone was coming towards him, then again he as amish so he was used to staying focused in on what he was doing. It wasn't until the voice hit his ears that he looked over his shoulder to see a woman standing there, the same woman that had been starring at him earlier.

He stopped hammering as he gave a shrug "I don't need any back up, just building a shed." he replied, he didn't know anything about the super natural dangers that were around this school. "It's nothing I can't handle." He spoke as he grabbed to smaller piece of the shed's frame with ease and put it on the corner of the larger piece and hammered some nails into it so that it would stay in place.

Next he carefully pushed the frame up so that it was standing on its own. It would be finished in no time at all at this point at least the frame anyways, the rest would require another trip to the wood shop to pick up the siding and beams for the shed. "Is there anything I can do for you?" He asked as he went back to work it was bad to get distracted by a woman so he tried to stay focused.

He was very focused on his work, that was a good trait but also a bad one when you worked at a school full of supernatural creatures. Her eyes shifted to the forest where she could see a couple teenagers hiding in the bushes staring at Ezekiel. That wouldn't do at all. But that was for later students were at the bottom of her list for right now. He was so much like his father, prefering to do things on his own to make sure it was done correctly. "Everyone needs a little help in the end." she said softly, they were the same words she use to tell her husband and son when they were out fixing the house and refused the help of her or his sister.

"Oh, uh no...I just came to make sure that you were okay. You're the only person out here so if you had an accident who knows what would happen?" she looked back at the forest to the teenagers who crouched further into the shadows of the forest, "Orge's..." Xeira hissed in her mind warning Katerina of the dangers in the forest. Blinking she turned back to Ezekiel and offered out her hand. "My name is Katerina...I'm a Dean's Guard here at the school and you are?" Oh she knew who he was, she had spent the night reading over his files Amish, quiet boy, but hard working. She just wanted to know him, to hold on to what little humanity she had left.

Zek couldn't help but to smile lightly when she said that every one needed help in the end, because it was something that his mother used to say to him. "Ya, so I've been told." He spoke with a hint of sadness in his voice. The man missed his mother, his family for that matter but he couldn't so much as send them a letter to let them know he was okay. It was hard being cast out like he was, but he tried not to let it get the better of him.

"I am just using a hammer in nails on here, not much can happen that way. I do all the wood cutting back at the school." He knew better then to mix power tools and being alone out this far away from help. The only time that he might need the help was for the roof but he had some idea of how to do it alone.

He stopped his work when the woman offered her hand to him. He slipped his hammer into his tool belt and used his shirt to clean his hand from any sweat and then took her hand in a kind shake. "Ezekiel, I'm the maintenance guy, just getting this shed built before heading in to fix up some of the class rooms."

Katerina's hand slowly wrapped around his and gave it a firm shake. "It is a pleasure to meet you...Ezekiel." She released his hand and turned her attention back to his shed that he was building. She gently ran her hand over the foundation while reliving memories in her head of a time long since past.

Her ears detected movement, turning her head she noticed the two teenage ogre's walking towards them. They were big men, the type that would be the football or wrestling team. "Ezekiel, do me a favor lad, go sit in yer truck for a moment while I deal with these...boys." Stepping through the foundation she made her way to the students who stopped half way in the clearing. They were obviously looking to have a quick snack on Ezekiel orge's were man eaters but it would seem to Katerina that he had no idea that Supernaturals even existed.

"Go find yourself something else to munch on boy's. The human is off limits." The ogre's turned and smirked at each other. Before Katerina could react two fist flew her way blowing her off her feet and crashing into Ezekiel's well constucted frame sending a pile of wood crashing down upon her. That was going to leave a mark.

Zek looked over his shoulder as the two guys approached from the forest and then looked to Katerina when she asked him to go wait in the truck. There was no way he was going to do that especially if the boys were looking to start trouble. It had more to do with the fact of the gender roles that were placed on him during his upbringing.

He watched for a moment to see what was going to happen when he saw the guys look to each other and knew it was trouble.

Zek took off his tool belt with the hammer still in his hand and waited for them to make a move. What he saw next only pissed him off, the fact that the boys dared to lay a hand on the woman was against everything he stood for. "Hey! That was uncalled for." He spoke as he went to Katrina's side and quickly getting the wood off of her.

"Are you okay?" He asked as he pulled off the last piece of wood, which he still had in his hand when one of the guys came over. With a quick thrust he caught the guy in the nose causing it to gush blood instantly. "Back off!" Zek spoke as he stood up holding the board. He may have only been human but he was strong and he had no issues teaching these boys a thing or two about how to treat a lady.

Katerina sat up from the pile, three large gashes were across her cheek from the nails that came in contact with her skin when she landed. Jumping to her feet she pulled her butterfly knife from her pocket and flipped it open, lifting her hand she went to throw it when she paused and looked at Zeke. "Hesitation leads to death...kill them!" Katerina swallowed hard and looked back at the ogre's who had started to turn a very digusting shade of green from anger. It didn't help the Zeke had just hit one with a piece of wood.

Flipping the knife in the air, she leapt of her feet and spin kicked it straight in to the ogre's left shoulder, two inches above his heart. The blade struck home and sent the ogre backwards to the ground, grasping the blades handle to try and rip it from his skin. His buddy bent down to help him. Stepping forward, Katerina punched the second ogre in the nose and ripped her blade from his chest. "You picked a bad day to attack boy'o. Go on, off to the office with ya. I'll deal with the two of ya later!"

The ogre's who had returned to their familiar shade of skin tone got off the ground and headed to the office, no doubt Katerina would get an ear full from Evelyn later about using knives on a student but at least she left him alive. Normally they would both be dead and buried by now. Snatching a handkerchief from her pocket she wiped the blood off the knife and closed before shoving back in her pocket. "I'm sorry about yer shed there laddie...it seems I have a habit of having trouble find me."
