Kristine had not been to sleep for days, every time she thought that she had caught up with injuries piling in from the hounds, more came in. It was like this endless cycle of... pain, misery and heart ache. Even with her ability she seemed to be of no match for the hounds poison. It was breaking her heart watching all the kids suffer in pain, and there was nothing she could do. Hell, even pain meds weren't making the kids feel more at ease. She was about to lose it, and every once in awhile she would slip away to cry her eyes out and then regain her composure before going back to the kids.

It was a rough day, and she didn't even want to think about the number of students she sent out to the hospitals and to the morgue. Then just when she was about to just lose it completely, a fae showed up, one that both scared and intimidated the vampire. Khalid had a cure, and even though Kristine had many questions, she was given the bottle and as quick as he had come the fae was gone. That was a relief... to a point, at least she wouldn't have to worry about the kids having nightmares in their condition but she had so many questions.

The nurse didn't hesitate to start administering what was in the bottle to the kids, and thanks to her ability she was unable to run out, as she was able to make the liquid from water.

Kristine almost broke down in tears again as the students started to heal from the wounds and quickly sent her assistant to the hospital where the humans were. It was the most... exhausting thing that she had ever been through at this school. Now, well now it seemed like it was over if only because there was a cure. Of course she got word to the dean as quickly as possible, but the nurse was now busy getting the hundreds of students that lay in her hall back on their feet and to safety.

It had been a rough evening for Mason, the boy now reeling as he skated along, now in short distance to the main building as he wanted to do a number of things at this point, one was to check in and see what the status of the many injured students were, and another, was to get his arm checked out as he had taken a spill over some broken glass in a struggle with one of the foul creatures, the wound now bleeding steadily as he'd slowed it down with a tight wrap.

Not even caring that he was gliding along on his rollerblades through the halls, Mason grimaced slightly in pain and gritted his teeth as he searched about for the Nurse's Station. "I guess I better get used to finding this place, never know when else I'll need help...not only when running from a Hellhound, but probably for hockey too." Mason thought to himself as he spotted the Nurse's quarters near the main office and quickly skated to the door, slowly peeking inside and looking startled at the number of students who had been attacked.

Knowing that the others were in more peril than he, Mason simply found a seat and shook his head as his right arm rang with pain. It was going to be the last time he would ever take a statement from the Dean telling people to stay put lightly. Checking his wrap, which was now soaked through with his blood, Mason sighed lowly and glanced about, wondering if there was anything he could do to help.

Spotting a woman who looked a bit exhausted, the boy simply strode over and looked concerned, forgetting about his own pain for a few moments. "Excuse me, Is there anything I can help with? You look like you could use a hand..." He muttered, blinking slightly as he watched the woman tend to some other students.

Kristine was busy, even without the help of the hellhounds, so even with those students getting better and back up on their feet there was still a number of injuries coming in that didn't concern them. So many people had hurt themselves just trying to escape the things so needless to say the nurse's work was never done. It seemed as soon as she got a few of them off on their feet, with an escort back to their dorms, another came along hurt and in need of attention. One thing was for sure, once all this hellhound business was over with, Kristine would need a day off or a vacation, but she'd settle for a day off.

"Take this, and have a seat." She spoke to a female student as she handed over an ice pack for her head. It was nothing more than a nasty bruise, but Kristine was confident the girl would have nothing to worry about. As she motioned over to the empty chair against the wall she heard someone talking to her and turned to look. It wasn't the words that caught the nurse's attention but the overwhelming smell of blood that hit her. It almost made her sick with how it smelt, because it wasn't tainted like most of the others had been.

Blinking a few times she found her focus and noticed the blonde boy with a wrap around his arm that had soaked through. Nurse mode kicked in instantly seeing this because it could be any number of injuries, such as a broken bone, deep laceration or well just about anything. "What happened to your arm?" She asked as she looked to the boys wrap as her hands moved to it as well. She had to admit he had done a decent job wrapping the arm but she needed to see the damage. "And don't be silly, who knows how much bl...blood loose you have had. Sit down we need to get that cleaned up." She motioned for him to sit in the chair right next to all of her supplies.

Sitting down in her fun rolling chair with no back she wheeled over to her supply cabinet and grabbed a number of supplies because it could have been anything. There was a stitches kit, some sterile water and some badges, she even grabbed a pair of gloves as she wheeled back and set everything down. "You didn't get bit or scratched by one of those hounds did you?" She asked first and foremost as she set everything up and put her gloves on. Being around the scent of clean blood reminded the vampire that she should probably eat at some point.

Waiting patiently as the woman assisted her other patients, Mason stood with a small grin of relief. Something seemed a bit off about Kristine, maybe she was just very on edge or exhausted after the attacks or something, but he noticed that she seemed a bit shaky and had to refocus slightly. "Well, its nothing too serious, I got cut with some glass, maybe a bit deeper than I care for..." The boy said with a small laugh, this of course coming from the kid who spent his share of time in hospitals for various injuries, most of which were minor.

"A-Alright, I'll take a seat...do you want this off yet?" Mason asked, gazing at the tight wrap as he acknowledged her instruction to sit in the chair. He watched as she rolled around in the rolling stool-seat thingy that most doctor's offices had and smiled to himself as he thought about the time he had taken one and went rolling down the main hall of the major hospital in Charlotte. "How many people did you have to treat for those hounds?" Mason asked, shaking his head as he went serious.

The blond haired boy then sat and sighed as another small shot of pain ran through his arm, which made him wince sharply. "No, thank goodness I didn't, I ran away from one after it jumped through a window in the shelter where I was, I got tripped up and fell, where I wrecked my arm on the broken glass." He explained, running his left hand through his hair as he watched the nurse gather her supplies curiously. "With my luck, I'll need stitches and we'll add another scar to the growing number of them..."

(OOC- I've got a feeling this probably won't be his last time in the Nurse's station...XDD)

Kristine was a vampire that wasn't a secret here at the school, but what many didn't know was that she didn't feel blood lust like most vampires did because she wasn't turned eating it. As a matter of fact she often forgot to eat, forgot all about blood until she could smell it in it's purest form, which wasn't after around these parts believe it or not. Most of the time she had blood tainted with another smell, from potions or bites or something that just made Kristine's stomach churn at the thought of drinking it. After all the smell of sulfur and acid in the blood around here, Mason's had not gone unnoticed but the nurse was far too interested in healing him to even think about it.

That didn't mean that it didn't affect her she just had the power to ignore it. "Just leave it on I will get it." She replied to him when he asked to take off the splint. The last thing she wanted was his blood dripping all over the place, she had enough to deal with today.

When she was asked about how many student had been through here she took in a deep unneeded breath as she tried to think, that caused her to pause in what she was doing. "Honestly, I lost count." She spoke on an exhale and that was rare because normally Kristine knew each and every person that she had ever worked on and what happened. Hell, at this point, Kristine had stopped even charting, because well it was just too much, and she just prayed the dean didn't get on her for that later.

"You are very lucky, not everyone was lucky enough to outrun them." She spoke with a sadness in her voice. Those has been the most disturbing bodies to see, but they were still brought to her so they could be identified. She may have been a freak to some but her ability allowed her to have a keen sense with the body and that mean identifying body parts as well. Just the thought of that happening again caused the vampire to shiver before getting back to the task at hand.

"Is there any glass in the wound?" She asked as she adjusted her gloves. She pulled the rubber off the tip of one of her fingers just because it was easier to do things. Really it just made the healing process a little easier, skin to skin always worked faster.

Mason watched Kristine carefully and observed her as she prepped her medical supplies to treat his arm. The blond haired boy looked intrigued as she popped one of the tips of the fingers from the glove off and wondered how such a small adjustment could help. "A-Alright, I'll let you get it then..." He muttered, moving his hand from the wrap, taking a deep breath as he waited patiently.

"That many huh?" Mason asked, sighing lowly and looking to the ground slowly. He could only shake his head as he thought about the many injured and even those that had lost their lives in the horrific event of the Hellhounds being released, something he hoped would never happen again. "I can definitely understand why you look so stressed, it must have been horrible..." He said, matching her sadness with his own.

"Lucky doesn't begin to describe it, I don't even want to think about what could have happened." Mason said with a nod of his head. "I just hope it all calms down so the school can get past this and well, remember the people lost in all this."

Spacing out for just a few moments as he pictured the hall and nurse's station with the injured students, Mason had a shiver run down his spine and could only shake his head. The sound of Kristine's voice was the only thing that snapped him out of it. "Huh? Oh well...Before I wrapped it, I took as careful of a look as I could and didn't see any, but I'm not 100 percent sure." He answered, blinking slowly at her.

"I've got a question, and it may be dumb, but...what's with the finger thing? Shouldn't you have kept the rubber on it to protect you?" Mason asked, looking curiously at Kristine.

Kristine would be happen when this whole mess was over, because maybe then she could get some peace, and maybe even read a book or something. How the vampire longed for the average everyday injuries, and would never complain again when someone came to her with a paper cut. "When I get busy I forget numbers and just do the work." She replied because that was what it was about in the end, and surely the dean would understand that some of the students didn't get notes added to their files, until she was able to sit down and get to it.

The vampire picked up a pair of scissors and began to carefully cut of the splint makeshift bandage to get an idea of what was beneath it. With him not knowing if glass was in there or not, she couldn't risk healing it right away. "Well, I have a unique ability to heal, so if the wound is minor enough you can leave here without it looking like you got hurt at all." She gave a soft smile as she peeled back the bandage and tossed it into the trash next to her.

She carefully looked over the wound, trying to get over the smell of fresh blood right in front of her. She was looking for any glass in the wound, but didn't see anything there, but that didn't mean tiny shards weren't hidden beneath the surface. "I need to clean this up a bit so bare with me, but don't worry it wont hurt." Kristine replied as she grabbed a bottle of sterile water and used her foot to move the trash can beneath his arm. Her hand with the missing glove piece, held him at the elbow and used her ability to cut off the sensation in his arm and poured the water over the wound trying to clean the wound up enough to see if there was any glass.

Mason simply nodded at Kristine's response and looked to the ground with a small grin, trying not to think about the gash on his arm and focus on letting the nurse get done with her work. "I guess that's the more important thing, getting care to the people who need it rather than marking down silly stats." Mason replied, sighing lowly.

Watching Kristine's work, Mason blinked as he looked back down at the wound, really studying it as she explained about her healing ability. Eyes now wide in surprise, Mason looked at the female skeptically and chuckled. "Are you serious? I don't know if I buy into that." Mason said with a smirk. The young wizard seemed entertained with this statement and nearly forgot that he was the one getting looked over.

Still smiling, but biting his lip lightly after Kristine told him that she would need to clean the wound, Mason simply nodded and answered her back, "Go ahead and do what you have to, I'm not going anywhere."

Mason simply continued to watch curiously, eyes narrowed slightly as he tried to figure out Kristine's method to her madness, not feeling anything as the nurse expertly cleaned the wound.

((ooc: I feel like such a jerk, I just saw that this had no reply))

Kristine continued to clean the wound so that she could see all of the glass. There was a few pieces that needed to come out still, but other then that his arm was good to go. She finished cleaning the wound and set the water aside. "Stats can be important at times, but I have been the only one here so it will just have to wait." She replied as she grabbed some tweezers and gauze and began to pick out the pieces of glass. With the feeling in his arm cut off he shouldn't have felt a thing as she tended to the damage.

"As I am sure you are aware, there is such thing as magic." She chuckled softly she could sense he was a wizard after all. Once the glass was out, and Kristine was sure that the wound was safe to close she kept her finger on Manson's arm and let it slowly heal. She didn't want to rush it in case it pushed any glass to the surface. With the wound healed, she grabbed some more gauze and cleaned up his arm so that there was no longer any blood on there.

"Looks like you are all set, it will still feel a bit tender for a few days, but other then that you don't have anything to worry about." She spoke as she slowly released his arm to let the feeling come back to it. If anything it would just feel like his smacked his arm against something so not much pain at all.

Kristine moved the trash can out of the way and took off her gloves and tossed them inside and started to clean up the rest of the mess that was made from taking care of him. She was glad that he was okay, at least this way he wouldn't have any reminders of the hellhound attack.

((ooc- Don't concern yourself with it XD))

Mason kept his eyes on Kristine as she continued her work, cleaning out the wound and tending to clearing the fragments of glass from his arm. "Well of course, but if you were the only one here, numbers are kind of senseless right? You look beat up from all of this, and I hope you get some time to kick back and relax." Mason said kindly, admiring the work and time she was giving up to aid the students to the best of her ability.

Eyeing the nurse carefully, Mason watched as she navigated the wound with tweezers and gauze, he was amazed with the fact that he couldn't feel anything. His mind wondered if it was adrenaline or if the woman was just this good. "Well, umm...uh-huh, I'm aware of that..." Mason replied, smiling to himself as the nurse revealed that she knew he was a wizard and was capable of using magic himself. "So that's why..." He said lowly, thinking about the job Kristine had just done.

"Thank you so much, that was amazing and it seemed like there wasn't anything to it." He said, looking surprised that such medical work could be done like that in short order. "How much does that take out of you with the healing, I'm sorry, but I'm just so curious..." Mason said lowly, looking at her with a grin as she started to clean up the area.

"Relaxing isn't really something I get to do these days, but I am fine with that." She smiled, there was simply way to much that went on at this school for her to be able to take time off. Hopefully, the school would get more nurses on staff soon but until then Kristine had to keep up with the work load on her own and that was fine. She found her own time to eat and sleep but everything was usually done here at the station just in case.

"Don't worry about it, that's what I am here for." She spoke as she was cleaning up the mess. She didn't use her magic on the humans that didn't know any better but for the wizard it was perfectly safe to do. Besides, he didn't need any lasting impressions of those horrible creatures lingering about.

"Oh, um, well it just depends. I mean, on the injury and the person. Those who aren't open to magic can drain me faster then those who are. Just minor details that get in the way but you need not worry about that. You are free to go about your day... or night... I am not really sure what time it is." She replied, because there was no sense on him sticking around here now that he was back to normal in a way.

WELL YOU GOT WHAT YOU WANT, WHAT YOU NEVER KNEW...
IT'S A PERFECT GIFT FROM ME TO YOU
-----------------------

"Everyone's gotta be able to relax once in a while though, its not healthy to work yourself to the core everyday." Mason said with a small grin. The boy hated seeing the woman in such a worn out state, but at this point, it seemed that she was determined as ever to work through the fatigue. Mason nodded and simply listened as she downplayed her care.

"Well I deeply appreciate it and hopefully things can get back to normal around here, or as normal as it can be however..." The boy said lowly, sighing slightly as he got up and gazed at Kristine. "I hope this is the last time I'm in here for something like this, but I can't make any promises, considering the sport I play, but I'll try my best to stay out of here with my hockey-related injuries." He said with a small laugh.

"So the severity of the injury and person have a bearing on how much is taken from you in healing?" Mason asked, rubbing his chin as he found all this fascinating. "I know, I probably shouldn't bug you for any longer than I really have to, its just that I find that healing magic stuff interesting, I think its past midnight, so morning would probably fit that a little better." Mason said with a nod.

"Thank you again for your help and well, would you mind if I peeked in from time to time to watch you? I mean, if its against rules or something like that, I'll abide by that, its just what you did there really amazed me." He said with a curious grin.

Kristine gave a soft smile to the boy's concerns about her "I appreciate it, but I know better then to push myself to hard." She replied, but just because she knew better than to push herself, didn't mean she followed those guide lines. She did the work she had to do in order to keep the students safe but she often did to much but as long as the students were safe that was all that mattered to her. A little bit of blood went a long way for her.

"Don't worry about it, I don't mind the questions. It really depends on the injury and the persons, none believers take more care then the believers and so forth just a number of factors that are involved really, its hard to explain." She spoke but she got up and moved around, she had other things to get done but she stayed in a reasonable distance so that they two of them could talk.

"You should head to bed, you have class in the morning." She added because if it was after midnight, nothing would excuse class now that the hounds had been taken care of. It was her job as staff to make sure that students didn't use her as an excuse to skip class.
